As if it makes them priviliged in comparison to others, and it diminishes the fact that it's people's own work and effort that creates results. It should be called having faith in yourself and your possibilities/potential. Her husband is a former NFL WR so he's all about speed and power. It makes me wonder if she won't start intensifying her focus on power and gravitate towards the 100m and 200m after this Olympics.
It would be a whole new challenge for her where the spotlight shines brightest as these champions are widely recognized as the fastest humans on the planet.
That's pretty lofty air to walk in but we all know being recognized as "The Fastest Woman Alive" won't be enough; especially when she knows that 10.48 makes her the fastest woman who's ever lived.
She clocked 11.07 in the 100m in 2018. 11.07. Think about it. That is only .56 seconds off the world record and she has never professionally trained for it. Plus, she has become considerably faster and more powerful with her intensified training pursuing 400m perfection. I'll bet she can run high 10.6s within the first month of a switch over.
At a recent meet, she dipped her toe into the short sprint pool participating in the 200m alongside Sha' Carri and some of the other big names in professional track. Not only did she make the finals, she won the whole damned thing with a respectable time. Interesting. Pack 10 lbs. on to her upper legs and butt from thousands of deep, full squats and road bicycling work and watch out world. While we'll be eyeing Flo-Jo's unapproachable 10.49 world record she'll be pushing herself to the limit each and everyday believing she can shock even the Gods atop Mt.Olympus when they see those three red numbers lit up that read, "9.99!".
Many would be quick to doubt that possibility but I'll bet few would be certain enough to put a chunk of money on it. She's special.

She already would be a favorite to win Gold in the 400m if she had chosen to run that race in Paris and the 200m is a possibility too in the future but the 100m might be to much of a reach and she needs to focus on the 400 and 200 post Olympics.

T&F is not like most sports, far from it, and it's totally normal in T&F rather than how you label it. More importantly, as you could have seen multiple times, the bibs don't just show the athlete's name. They tell you about the meet/ tournament plus its main sponsor(s). Like at 2:34 it says DOHA 2019 (World Championships) and QNB. And obviously the organisation often wants to distinguish itself with the design of the bibs. Some meets / tournaments use chips on the bibs for call room check in and/or GPS location, linked to live standings on screen during the longer distances.
Plus various organisations use bibs with colours signifying the defending champion, or the leader in the tournament (combined events) or leader(s) in the series (Diamond League) and whatnot.
T&F is pretty much unique. Plus the tradition of bibs kinda has something imo.

Well this girl Femke Bol spoke very badly of Sydney Mclaughlin as if she was better. Why didn't she prove that she was better than The Beautifuly, Sydney, it was seen that is the fastest running; without a scientific like Femke, who abuses her in her Country, Sydney Mclaughlin LeBron is daughter of God Christ Jesus may he always bless Her.❤🏃‍♀️🥇🙏

LOVE LOVE Sydney McLaughlin but Femke and Muhammad are outstanding Athletes and record holders. I believe they all fuel each other to success! Without Muhamad , I don't think Sydney would have pushed herself as hard. Remember , Jimmy Connors brought out the BEST In McEnroe! This is the same. Cheers to all!

Not likely. She's still young, she just went under 51s, her reaction gave me the idea she has more to give, and she can still improve her hurdling technique.

Comment by Femke in recent interview. If I don't win in the Paris Olympics, I know I have more work to do.... In other words: Femke can improve further and she is not going away!

it was .03 (the screen said 50.67 but the official time was 50.65)
but I get your point about "smashing"
But to be able to improve your WR 4 times is really a remarkable effort and a testament to good training and good injury management.

NOPE‼Bolt NEVER broke a world record 5 times and counting😳⁉And so EASILY🤨⁉Bolt actually only ran sub 9.7 on 3 occasions with 2 of those being world records‼ THIS IS NOT NORMAL 😐‼I am not jumping to conclusions but no one can argue that this is 'normal' ‼😐

Thumps down for talking shit as if Sydney is the only one who does amazing runs, Femke is making amazing progress just as well, getting closer in rapid pace. There are 2 runners here that will make it exciting for Paris, not just one.
