Just last year 2023 at DL finals she was 3rd running 10:79. She need the correct team around her. I do not agree that her age is the biggest issue for her. It's not going to be easy for her & l agree with the sentiments regarding the coach. She is not done. I believe she will be back with a bang in 2025.

When the body is done, it truly is done. At age 32, most of the best professionals rapidly decline, and add to this Elaine is injury prone, she’s may very well be done. Let’s not get it confused with folks like Jeter, Shelly, Allyson, Gatlin, etc., to fool you; they are absolute unicorns. Most sprinters really do begin to get slow around 31-32, and Elaine is now 32. I think it was an opinion he made as an analysis. He was asked a question and he gave what he believed to be the ttmost honest answer to it. I don't think it was too harsh and shouldn't have been said because it's not like he's saying she is a bad person and accusing her of stuff he is just making an assesment from the fact that she's been injured for so long and her age which is currently 32 and saying that at that advanced age and her injury issues he just saying he doesn't think she can't fight all the injury issues at the age she is. He can't be sure about anything it's just an opinion. Who knows this may inspire Elaine to come out better than before and it might be just the motivation she needed to prove everybody wrong. I think that Elaine is more injury prone than Shelly and honestly it will be tough to compete against younger athletes in their 20’s. Normally based on statistics a sprinter prime last 4 years and I think given her age she is well past her prime.
