Cheers for the review mate, I bought a set of these recently and only realized i had the antenna' on the wrong sides thanks to your vid. New scriber, looking forward to watching future vids. 👍👍👍
The antenna sides makes a HUGE difference in terms of performance. Even the antennas on the DJI Air Unit need to be placed in the proper position. The Red Antenna [A] needs to be placed on the side of the SD card and the Black Antenna [B] needs to be placed on the side of the USB C port. I didn't have any instructions on what the position was, but my distance output immediately improved doing the above.
Will this have the same effect on a DJI fpv drone. Or is it special for the home made drone where you can change the receiver and transmit antenna on the drone? I’m trying too find out what is the best antennas for the DJI fpv drone where the only change I can do is the antenna on the google v2

GPS infos for live comments and since it can't be shown in the DJI DVR just use a simple google maps image to demonstrate it? Since I'm interested in long range flights this would be a great info. Normally you don't fly behind forests or hills... and infos like "shit, that's far" are not accurate at all. I'd appreciate it. Thank you :)
I just purchased these and did my own testing. Hands down the best setup and I have the Lumineers AXII and Iflight Crystals and stubbies for both. Doesn't even come close.
@@rubenvaneupen7327 I found that flying laterally was worse than flying behind me. In my testing, I was going through trees and an entire house since I do Real Estate. But my conclusions are spot on with Mads. Lastly - I found that having the new antennas on the quad made a huge difference as well.
Wezley Varty will soon do some tests and make a review. I will soon make some myself as well, but since I was part in developing these, Im not exactly unbiased. So I prefer other people to tell others how good they Re.. 😅
How about Mads!! Greetings from Mexico and much success to the TH-cam channel
They work just as good with V1 as with V2. Maple has done thoruogh testing on the mounting patterns on both in their laboratories, and they found that even though the port layout is slightly different between the two. The optimal antenna mounting pattern of Mjölnir was still found to be identical on both V1 and V2 goggles.
I’ve just ordered a set of these but it comes with the 90 degree antennas for the drone, where can I get the straight ones from as I’m struggling to find some. Links would be especially helpful, I’m in the uk if that borrows anything down. Thanks
Mjölnir has a little better penetration in front than the xairs, and outperform them in every way, and drastically, when it comes to omni directional coverage and capabilities. I used to use 2x X-airs myself, before we began the development of Mjölnir. And even from those, Mjölnir is still a noticable upgrade.
Me personally haven´t been flying the Crystals but some buddies say they are more pleased with Mjølnir but Crystals is smaller and nicer package on the googles
Hi man, do this work for DJI FPV drone? I need an antenna upgrade for my V2 Goggles that can work for the Dji drone and the Protek 35 Digital that is coming
If you need the best antennas that work with both, these are it. If you want the absolute best for the Dji fpv drone, we are just now about to release a new product - dual band antennas for the goggles, and antenna upgrade for the Dji fpv radio (V2), in the same package. These will on the other hand not work as good with a normal quad, as Mjölnir. And Mjölnir will work perfectly fine and outperform your control link when using the Dji fpv drone.
I did try to do the testing as close as possible on both antenna systems but there might have been diffrences ofc, I flew up higher at the end of the first Mjölnir antennas first test because I was planning to go over the tree´s but I backed out lol
Some titles on the screen might have been a good idea! I hear you say "this is much better than the luminair" but I've not got a clue what antenna your using when you say that???
I have read many comments and try to sum up an important question: Are these google antennas give better performance even when other antennas mounted on the quad, as well as for the Vista's mono signal?!
Answer to both your questions is Yes, definitely!! On my micros and some of my Sub 250 builds I use the caddx antenna on the vista, due to the Mjölnir vista antenna weighs abit more. And even with the caddx antenna the range and penetration is incredible using Mjölnir on the goggles.
Hey Mads, nice video! Great to see you're getting brand deals. My biggest question about this setup is if there is a solution for the Caddx system? With the DJI Air unit becoming harder to get hold of, will they have a single antenna system for the Caddx Vista or is this only suitable for the dual antenna DJI units?
Hi! We have a dedicated antenna for optimal performance with the Caddx Vista. Mjölnir works great with any antenna on tue quad as well. Link to the Ufl ; ejii.com/product/ufl-antenna/
Where is the magic? Goggle antennas or the quad antennas? How will the goggle antennas perform with standard antennas on the quad? What about caddx vista? Only one antenna. Is it a A or B
The combination with goggle and and quad antennas is what they recommend, but I didn't notice too much difference when testing the goggle antennas on different quad antennas! Vista antenna answer from the Maple guys: You only need one antenna for the vista, since the vista is built differently. So the ufl does not have the A B markings
@@MadsHalvorsen Hi! That was my concern too... Which one for Vista then? A or B and why? So you have tested it with other quad antennas, and they still performed better than the Lumenier?

Cheers!
On an analog setup one would typically go for a directional and omni antenna combo on the rx only mounts. Same for DJI goggles v2? And then for tx mounts also directional and one omni I guess? Why Maple has another approach?
We took this other approach, because state of the art research into the matter, says if done correctly, this is the best way for omni and multipath capabilities. And Maple with their research and laboratories, found how we could make this hybrid polarized helical radio array work with the Dji Goggles. Without this approach, Mjölnir would not be better than the competition. That's why we took this approach. 😊
@@dragonwingfpvbyespenlossiu3808 So you say that with these frontal faced patch antennas you even have great omni capabilities when flying far behind you?
@@rubenvaneupen7327 Correct! This is due to the hybrid polarized helical radio array that is Mjölnir - that gives them this unique performance. As you can see in the video, there was absolutely no contest between the Axii with 2 omni's...

This is what they told me: These do work perfectly with V2, but Im not sure how well with the Dji fpv drone, yet. But personally I haven´t tested these with V2´s myself!
@@octane81 Indeed. However, if you plan to only use caddx or dji air units, only 5.8ghz matters. The thing is that it seems on v2, I've read you can use v1 antennas but in a specific order.
