      Ya I really like sport mode an would love the ability to do roles in sport mode. I think DJI just doesn’t care an id be extremely surprised if they released anything. I think they just push out a new drone, bank some money an move on to the next.

      @@DonRecapo Hey Reynaldo - I didn't have the issue with the throttle you're describing. The rates outlined in the video make the controller sticks less sensitive so it's a bit easier to control. They were way too sensitive for me with the values that came from the factory. What a great video! Yes the content was good but what I am more impressed with is the location! Rock Canyon Park. Where I grew up! So I am a expat living in Beijing China on a international assignment for NBC Universal. I came across your video since I just purchased a DJI FPV here in Beijing and as normal I am taking every bit of information in a can. My parents actually still live just a few 100ft from the park. Although I have not lived in Utah for 30 years, I visit several times a year as time permits. It was certainly fun being half a world away watching a video about a hobby I am passionate about and all of a sudden realize you are filming from my old neighborhood! Fun to see!

      @Daniel Todic @flaboratorium org Now that they show it on the app, yes, it is similar to betaflight rate tuning, however, one or the other doesn't necessarily make it smoother. Lowering it makes it more linear, which, is technically smoother because it doesn't have any jump in input, that's what I was showing in the video. Guess it depends on the pilot.

    Nice video. It was clear, concise, and well thought out. I also want to commend you for only using the word "cinematic" four times. That is about once every three minutes. Too many drone content creators way overuse the word. Every 45 to 60 seconds is way too much. Cinematic is the same as film, video, or movie. They could use those words every so often so they sound less pretentious.

    • @illuminatedrones

      Technically yes and no as you will never be able to fly a drone like a plane as they interact with aerodynamics differently. Didn’t realize how much better your rates are until I tried going back to stock after using your rates. I thought that I had just improved, but now I realize that your settings were the reason. I cannot believe that DJI didn’t set it up with something along the lines of your tune. They should hire someone like you

    Simulator never worked for me, I never was able to get a feel for those controls. Just started in N mode, after a couple days switched to S mode, First with coordination then without it(throttle stick not centering, of course).After 2 weeks in S mode I finally switched to full M mode using FPV Unlocked rates....It flew smooth like butter. Not doing any aerobatics yet until I get enough stick time and confidence.

    great info. just picked up this drone and been flying in manual. When in manual mode its not allowing me to flip either down or up not sure why. Also getting an error saying "remote controller stick error"
    Would that be because maybe i tightened it up to much on the back ( f1 & f2 ) for the throttle?

    Just tried these settings. They definitely make it better for cinematic flying but it removes the fast responsiveness for manual mode a little too much. Going to try increasing the sensitivity up again and see how that goes. The original settings are ok but they are definitely twitchy.

    Hello I appreciate the video! My only gripe is the title I feel is misleading a bit. Several times in the video you mention that you think this is the best tune right now for beginners but how about the folks that are used to flying 4s or 6s fpv quads? I love how quick my 6s Nazgul5 reacts so I'm afraid that these will feel too slow and sluggish for me. The throttle I'm interested to try out because it's absolutely terrible stock on this drone and feels so unpowered and floaty.
    Overall good video but I think that you should include in the title "best tune for beginners". Thanks!

    • @illuminatedrones
      @illuminatedrones  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think even for those who have experience flying FPV should start with these rates. Honestly, the stock flying on this drone is absolutely terrible. It's always good to have a starting point and then move from there. Thank you for your feedback though!
