Powdered heavy cream is the bomb! I have it on hand all the time. I have celiac plus I don’t eat sugar, but I’ll adapt your recipe for me. Thanks for sharing!
we make this but we sub out the cow milk powder for coconut milk powder (vegan) and it turned out fabulous. we also sub out half the sugar with a erythritol/monk sugar blend. it's calorie free and doesn't impact blood sugar levels so it helps cut down on the sugar content. We then use Silk whipping cream as a topping rather than the sugar bomb marshmallows. so these hot chocolate mixes are very adaptable recipes.
Do you sub both the powder milk and malted milk quantity with dry coconut milk? I use Swerve powder sugar as a sub. If you do want marshmallows, there are vegan ones. You can also make your own whipping cream at home with Aquafaba.

The internet says there is a gluten free malted milk powder but I'm wondering why bother because the malt is such a distinctive flavor. But we have people with Celiac who are very sensitive to malt so this is a no-go for us. Still it looks like it makes a delicious hot cocoa.
Depends on the container - some do fine, but the smaller ones don't - those tend to be what I use in small amounts anyway. But the large OXO gets a cup in just fine for me.
No, I'm sorry, we don't use them, and I'm not knowledgeable enough to know how to convert- but it should be easily converted by whatever means you normally use.
I try to print like you showed, but I wasn't able to. I had to print directly from laptop and it went thru 15 pages and then the ads covered the recipe to where I couldn't read it. Please help........Thanks
The ads are not part of the recipe - they don't print. If you're trying to print the screen instead of printing the actual recipe, that's why you are seeing something else.
Maybe switching to read mode. ... the lines stacked on top of each other in the web page line .. it takes ads out .. so it should not print them from that page... otherwise going into your settings for your printer in order to choose those things. Good luck
Sorry - we're not gluten free and I know nothing about it - I would not be the person to try to make it - I'm sure there are recipes online that can help.

Tried to print the recipe and it just threw me into a loop back to the top of your instructions. When I finally got to the point where I could print it it was printing with all the ads. ????? It was around 30 pages long. I'm sure this is not what you intended
Not even sure what your doing because the recipe doesn't print ads and is 1.5 pages long. Is there a chance you are doing a print the screen and printing out the whole post?
Do print preview and choose the pages you want. You can try the right button on the mouse, too. If nothing else create a new text doc on your computer and copy and paste the parts you want. That won't capture pix, though.
@@dfreak01 But it's not necessary - hit the print button in the recipe box or at the top of the blog post as I showed, and all you will get is the actual recipe - no extras at all.
Please perfect then come back and give the recipe. This is very confusing. Do I use this or that? Your preference .... etc. .. If you use this ... don't use that ... I want a recipe. Not an opinion. Merry Christmas!

Since cocoa naturally has caffeine in it, and sugar is a stimulant as well, how is this sleep time?
It's the practice, it was traditional, and when they got it, they knew it was special and time to snuggle in and get ready for bed. They were wee little when we started it and it was just all part of the tradition.
.... it is a natural Sleep inducer IF you use the Dutch Process Cocoa....this type of Cocoa has those properties in it that help one sleep.
I use a small amount of half and half cream, cocoa powder, and cinnamon. Place in a mug and add hot water.
@@ThePurposefulPantry nope I went specifically to the recipe to print it.
@@jovallebuckmaster What device are you using? We've used 4 of them to test here, and never had your issue.
I cannot drink cocoa in the evening due to all the caffiene it contains.
Please perfect then come back and give the recipe. This is very confusing. Do I use this or that? Your preference .... etc. .. If you use this ... don't use that ... I want a recipe. Not an opinion. Merry Christmas!
Then go to the website where I showed you the exact recipe I always use.
