What is an Arrhythmia?
An arrhythmia is an abnormal heart rhythm.
It may feel like fluttering or a brief pause.
It may be so brief that it doesn’t change your
overall heart rate (the number of times per
minute that your heart beats). Or it can cause
the heart rate to be too slow or too fast. Some
arrhythmias don’t cause any symptoms. Others
can make you feel lightheaded or dizzy.
There are two basic kinds of arrhythmias.
Bradycardia is when the heart rate is too
slow - less than 60 beats per minute.
Tachycardia is when the heart rate is too
fast - more than 100 beats per minute.

Graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the George Washington University Hospital. Dr. Kazemi underwent general and advanced interventional cardiology fellowship training, at the George Washington University Hospital, as well. He is board certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Kazemi has been elected as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a Member of the Nevada State Medical Association, and Clark County Medical Society.
Dr. Kazemi has been director of Mountain View Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory as well as Head of Interventional Cardiology. He is currently the Chief of Cardiology at Mountain View Hospital. He actively participates in the Cardiac Alert Program at Mountain View hospital, which is designed to care for patients with heart attacks in emergency situations.
He is active member of Medical Executive Committee, Chest Pain Committee, and Quality Assurance program at Mountain View Hospital.
He also participated in several other clinical trial for management of patients with Diabetes and Cardiac disease with Dr. Samer Nakhle, Endocrinologist
Dr. Kazemi practices general cardiology with special emphasis on advanced coronary and peripheral arterial interventional techniques. He is married, and has two daughters.
