I really hate you guys at Sub Pop from the bottom of my heart. First you provided the soundtrack of my youth back in the 90s. Now you deliver again with the perfect folk and pop for my fading 30s. I can't click on your "full album streams" any more. The next click always hits the order button over at amazon. I'm broke, and it's your fault! Now that that's said, keep up your great support for great artists.
I knew this was gonna be good from the singles, but wow. Baby Blue is tremendous! Really diggin this record. On par with indie rock classics from the 2000's but perfectly timed for 2017.
@@GustavoRodriguez-xg5yv It might be saying something about what the band felt about the current times, how unstable it all is, and yet by some miracle in control and functioning.
"This ever falling down cathedral" from "Lazarus Online." The whole album is littered with references to the crumbling of nature and natural life versus the possibility of something more, something lasting.
I agree, there may be better individual songs on Queen Mary, but this is a better complete album experience. And live they are definitely the best they've ever been.
Wow, saw these guys on Stephen Colbert's show, worth the watch, and seeing that brought me here. Thanks Sub Pop! What a great bunch of work, and I hadn't seen any of it before you!
J. House Hey, better late than never! I would definitely recommend their earlier work, particularly their albums Expo 86 and Apologies to the Queen Mary. Shine A Light is one of my all-time favorite songs.
I saw WP in Holyoke Massachusetts but couldn't get my words out to Spencer Krug. What I wanted to say was that tho Cry Cry Cry was reviewed as pretentious Indie, I thought that preposterous because Cry Cry Cry was simply a sincere album while so much Indie was trying not to be sincere [sic] which is a sad state of affairs - thus Cry Cry Cry.
dude ... with each track the album just gets better.
So good to discover this, at the age of 67.
Oh yeah these guys are wonderful

Thanks. Really digging Dan's songs on this in particularly.
Dont know why they wouldn't post this in the video info. Thanks very much though.
Wolf Parade is like an ex gf you lost touch with and didn't realize how much you missed, and then you see her again and realize you need to marry her
Nah bruh stay away from her, she's just pretending to be well-adjusted until you surrender and then she'll just be the same awful person she was before.

That first song "Lazarus Online" really sets the tone! Incredible
A bit of sadness, a bit of joy

2 Great Records less than a month apart.
Thank you, *Sub Pop* .
Please buy this album: this awesome band needs our support, beautiful gatefold vinyl!
Spencer Krug, oh how I've missed you!

Definitely getting a hybrid "Apologies To The Queen Mary" x "At Mount Zoomer" vibe.
The cover art is brilliant.
No shit, I want that tattooed on my right arm.
How so? Is it representative of something?
I think it's supposed to represent controlled instability. Like a functional chaos. But maybe I'm reading too much into it.

Nine days in, I may be just a teeny tiny bit incurably obsessed with this fucking masterpiece.
Definitely my Top 10 Best 2000 rock or indie albums. Sincere contemporary, yet classic, rock ballads!
I just recently fell in love with Apologies ... and am I ever pleased now that I indeed have ~THX to all parties concerned for making this possible
this is the best thing in the world.
Welcome back boys, a masterpiece on first listen
I won't lie, this is a really solid record.
I listened to this on Spotify as soon as I woke up.
Saw them play a few of these songs when they opened for Arcade Fire.
These guys are pretty good!
Their best album, for me even better than Apologies to the Queen Mary
I agree, there may be better individual songs on Queen Mary, but this is a better complete album experience. And live they are definitely the best they've ever been.
Agreed
Well, that's a comeback
I am so excited to see them live I could pee myself! Did anyone else follow the string line on the album cover to see if it lined up? Ha!
i hadn't, but i just tried it and oh that is satisfying!
lalalalaika
Agreed a comfortable exercise for the mind and her connection to the eye
yep it does :)
Now I did, thanks!
I tend to trust in our overlords and that they’ve got everything under control, so no, I did not follow the line.
Great work guys, been looking forward to this for a while. Cheers!
I liked this "Album" since the first note. Amazing.
It's scary, this may be their best album yet.
This is a GREAT record. Fantastic.
damn. I don't listen for a week or two, come back and somehow it's even better. can't wait for May!
Arlen is a fantastic drummer; really enjoy his work behind Spencer, Dan and Dante. Wolf Parade has a new Album!!! Definitely worth the wait!
I'M GLAD TO OPEN MY BROWSER AND ENTER TH-cam AND FIND OUT WITH THIS GRAND EXPECTED ALBUM:]
Finally something new I can get behind
Love this music
One of my best friends was named Anthony and passed away. idk why, but Lazarus Online fucking gets me everytime
Thank you, Wolf Parade!
Wow, saw these guys on Stephen Colbert's show, worth the watch, and seeing that brought me here. Thanks Sub Pop! What a great bunch of work, and I hadn't seen any of it before you!

Don't sleep on At Mount Zoomer. That album is underrated.
Joseph Blanco Animal in your care!
J. House
I like Apologies to the Queen Mary best from these guys, but all their stuff is worth checking out.
Apologies to the Queen Mary is a masterpiece of indie rock. Check it out
Holy shit, good morning!
This band... so great...
