Today preaching is no more working as my Wife was 37years with the Organisation. They are no more in the house to house like years ago and many do not welcomed them to their house. I was an Elder b4 my Wife and myself left End of 2019. Since then, we are very happy with our Life than the Years we wasted with this Organisation.

I was a "born-in" JW, and remember all of the ridiculous banning of Voting and No Blood and No Military Service rules. Jesus preached love your neighbour as yourself. Neighbour must surely include those who "OFFEND" you. Also love your God. My father was a JW from before i was born but my mom not, so I grew up around the JW organization and gravitated toward it by my teenage years. However, i never internalized that Jehovah would destroy everyone not a JW and save all JWs. It didn't make sense that anyone would know God's judgement on another. Of course, i knew better than to think out loud. Better keep my thoughts to myself. 😧

Me, too. Thank God! The Organization was worse than I ever imagined. Disellowshipping was indeed a blessing in disguise. I went on to live my life, become closer to my heavenly Father, and my children were not subjected to the abuse and craziness.
I don't think they'll really get totally away from the shunning. They'll do just what they've done, tweek it a bit. They've been doing this shunning FOR YEARS -- so the residual affects of that will still remain due to their leaders telling them to use their "Bible-Trained" conscious [which equates to what the Watchtower Leaders "the governing body " has trained them to do. So, their minds will always be wired to still doing the shunning, maybe not the strong shunning it previously was, but the soft shunning [in my opinion] will still remain.
I heard WT JW creating a college for actors and education on how to make videos & movies. Maybe they will make videos like Veggie Tales for religious JW kids. By the way Veggie Tales (religious cartoons )went bankrupt in 2015. Maybe sell religious cartoon videos on their cart witnessing. I agree with your take on shunning. Watchtower will never abolish this practice. Their recent paltry changes in allowing the rank and file to greet df’d people who come for the memorial is in response to Norway’s removal of their right to monetary compensation granted to all registered religions in that country. I think Watchtower will try and appear to be changing their policies as regards shunning in order to get this funding restored. The GB seems to think the governments of the world are too stupid to see behind their obvious ploys.

Shunning isn't the point...it's about you know. The things you know are too much. Unshunning would put the watchtower in Immediate mortal danger and cause chaos. It would be suicide. I'm sure the watchtower knows this
I agree with your take on shunning. Watchtower will never abolish this practice. Their recent paltry changes in allowing the rank and file to greet df’d people who come for the memorial is in response to Norway’s removal of their right to monetary compensation granted to all registered religions in that country. I think Watchtower will try and appear to be changing their policies as regards shunning in order to get this funding restored. The GB seems to think the governments of the world are too stupid to see behind their obvious ploys.
