Thanks a bunch! I'll be honest, I feel the reason I dont have a lot of subscribers is because I took a big hiatus for about a year because I was being bullied on this channel before. But now that's gone and I'm wanting to improve my videos and reviews to be a lot more professional.
Oh Man, don't judge me by my pic, I was born in L.A...I'm a car freak...literally...you freakin' kick ass!!! I've owned 2 Suby's, still have my 06 Outback 2.5XT, Red Gold Pearl, Best Car I've ever owned!!! Your video is what I've been looking for, a real in depth review of the 2017 Forester 2.0XT Touring...considering the change...Thanks Again...
Excellent Review. well explained. I'll be buying the forester due to my lifestyle. The engine is also very simple.. not to complex. And I'm 6'7 and i have more then plenty of room for myself.
I really like my 2009 Forester XT. It's not the prettiest and the fanciest SUV out there, but it's been reliable and it's fun to drive. The panoramic moonroof is a huge plus. I always switch to winter tires from late Nov. thru mid/late March and it makes an enormous difference in snow and on icy roads.
Those safety features are standard on all trims for the 2017 Rav4 (including active braking and lane assist). You said you hadn't heard of them in other compact SUV's, so I'm just passing that along.
I wouldn't trust the Rav4 in a crash though, just saying...having tested a ton of Toyota's products...they all seem to fold up like tin cans if they ever hit something. Subaru hasn't really had that issue recently.
Nontheless, the point was you touting the particular safety features on the top-trim Forester and stating other compact SUV's don't have them to your knowledge. Turns out, they do. And for one, it's not an extra cost.
Its a small world eh? I now have a deal with them so I can go film whichever Subaru's I want, whenever I want. Just have to message them and tell them which one I'm aiming for. I think either the Outback Limited 2.5 or Legacy 3.6R are on my list.
sweet can you do the Subaru Crosstrek and the Outback? I was hoping to get a Subaru but things didn't go as plan so i got my first car which is a 2011 Honda CRV EX-L but i would have to wait a year and a half to trade in for the car i wanted. A Subaru Crosstrek, Foster, Or Outback is on my list
Depends on what you are using it for. The Forester provides standard AWD but still gets very good mileage for the fact its a turbo engine. The Mazda is FWD from the factory, but can get AWD as an option. Space wise, the Forester feels taller than the Mazda and the Mazda's more rounded. If you want speed, Forester XT all day long, but you're right, its a close call.
I would be using the car mainly for commuting to and from work and typical city driving, but I also enjoy road tripping, camping and hiking. I want the car to be comfortable, fun to drive, spacious, and have off-road capabilities.
I would say Forester XT all the way then. The Mazda's AWD is based more on a FWD set up whereas the Forester XT's AWD is set up to be 4WD system from the factory.
Even if you never feel the need for speed around town, the turbo is GREAT on road trips because of how easily you can pass people even at highway speeds. I made a 7 hour road trip through the mountains a couple weeks ago in my 14XT and the confidence was inspiring. It's not a perfect car, but it's probably the most well rounded and capable - the exception being its 1500 pound tow limit (not because of its power, but due to the CVT transmission's tow braking I guess).
If someone gets in an accident with one of these they need to just take the person's license. Too many features for me though but very good looking vehicle.
I bought the 2017 Forester 2.0XT Touring and this review is right on!
Not sure why you don't have 1mill subscribers yet. This is by far the best review of the Forester around. Keep up the good work! Subscribed.

I'm loving the STI shifter
The leather steering wheel in my Legacy felt the same way when new. Feels awesome after it gets broken in though.
Future of Subaru looks very bright
Wrong
Awesome tutorial video sir! I appreciate all the details you mentioned! Thank you! I wish that Subaru still made the turbo foresters!

I just got a 2018 version and like it a lot.

+GrandPrixGTP02 Rav4 has a 5 star safety rating.
My subie my friend smoked my previous BMW X1 . 0-60 :6.49 seconds. Linear acceleration and not turbolag. Why you need manual transmission?
My favourite
Dude you were in my area. I go to look at Subaru's all the time at that dealership. Been waitin for this.

I have an Outback 2.5i Limited in the beautiful Wilderness Green Pearl w/ Warm Ivory Leather set up for my next review!
The Subaru Forester went on a facelift in 2016 for the 2017 model year.
This car is great for me
i did not know was available in this blue.. i love it.. i have the white pearl touring
the smartkey look more cool than the rav4 but I quite love the Rav4's dash
Presentation well done.
Excellent review. keep it up. Too bad you didn't get a chance to drive it for your impression how it drives.
Muito bom. Esse um carro dos sonhos!!!
What camera are you using? great quality and looks very stable with just a handle.
very nice review
Is really sad that this suv doesnt have rear a/c vents :( with that feature would be the best in the segment!!
It's not that big. It doesn't need rear vents.
Would you recommend the 2017 Forester 2.0XT Touring or the 2016.5 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring? Pretty torn between the two.

anyone knows where can i get the splash guards for 2017 subaru forester touring?
this is the touring xt. how come the limited xt doesn't have a push start button?
Palacpac John Ryan usually it would have to have Eyesight in order to have the push button, no matter the trim
u got my sub
i feel bad when they took out the turbo hood scoop!
chris hoang don't , it's safer now "no more turbulence inside the engine compartment" ☺
No Apple Car Play? What's the HP?
Just got to the HP section of the video so never mind on that but still wondering about the Apple Car Play...
