- How to fix the passenger side windshield wiper on a Jeep Wrangler. You'll have to get a bushing from an autoparts store like Autozone. The one's I got are in the video and the part number is #49447

My wiper broke, found this video. Low and behold I can see the metal arm disconnected through the gap by the wiper….I love how many problems TH-cam has helped me fix. Thanks for filming this!
49447 part costs about $5 (Feb 2021) from Dorman Company. Description on package is "Wiper Linkage Bushing Assortment". There are 10 pieces in the package. Says that it fits Chrysler, Ford, GM & Jeep.

I bought that 49447 part and a small handheld torch. I shaved down the part with a box cutter knife and used the fire to heat the plastic while I pressed it down with a hammer. Easiest way to me. I’ll fill y’all in on how it holds up in a couple of months!

Once you unbolt and remove the cowl, you can remove that grate also, then it's not in the way.

The Dorman part wouldn't fit, how you were able to do that idk. None of them fit for me
Happened to me just bought a new linkage. When I got it hooked back up the wiper pattern has changed. Instead of starting at the bottom and lifting up, it drops down then goes back up to about half way. My temporary fix is I have the wipers sitting halfway up the windshield and when I turn them on constant they work as they should. Could just have the part that attaches to the motor in the wrong position? Currently it down when the motor is off

When the wiper was broken, could u move it manually? And if u did would the other one wiggle a bit? Trying to figure out the problem before taking it apart.
