I have been practically devouring information on aseprite and pixel art these past few weeks, and I think I have found my main art medium after years. Still gonna take a lot of practice to reach a decent level, but this? I don't know why I haven't gone into it earlier. You and many other artists talking about aseprite and pixel work itself have been a wonderful help and inspiration. And these tips? They are gold.
Very helpful tips! Aseprite gets better and better that you sometimes cannot memorize all this great new features by heart, or even miss a few on the way. Thanks to youtubers like you who make such great videos describing everything so nicely.
4:19 - for some reason this tip doesn't work for me right now, trying to figure it out but this would be so useful! gotta figure out to get those lines to show when I hold V lol, thanks!!!!
love your character designs/art style! getting into this whole field is tough, but i'm glad that there are videos like yours that help us familiarize ourselves with our tools :D
About tip #4, it will only work if you have the "Auto Select Layer" option enabled. It's still a great tip that I did not know about tho! Thanks for sharing! :D
Video is great and will be very useful to me in the near future, but I wanted to congratulate you for the music. Nice moody track, man, thanks for sharing it.
Wow, I'm working on a Dome Keeper inspired game and when I was looking for assets initially, I found your The Dark series that I thought fit really well. I had no idea you actually worked on Dome Keeper ^^
Loved the content really was helpful in many area. Iamma even save ot for watch later to practice it ❤. Please bring this kind of videos in future too 🙏🏻
Awesome channel, and love your work on dome keeper. Instant sub! I recently started creating a game with a friend, having no experience with pixel art and jumping right into it. Why do you keep body, feet, hands etc separate in your animations?
Hi, and thanks for the video! Do you have any advice or playlist (also from your patron, I'm considering becoming one) for beginners? Also do you have any videos about your workflow with your game engine?
Hey I love Dome Keeper and was wondering what you designed for it? Did you design the monsters? Cause the beginning art you have in the video reminds me of a Dome Keeper enemy with the entire body being black.
mate, thanks for the awesome content! you're inspiring to make great stuff ;) could you please tell how to prepare the accurate character sheet after the animation is done? Just to copy every frame to it's place in the sheet? I need the character sheet for futher import in Godot. Thanks in advance!
@@Penusbmic yeah, just found the plugin called "Aseprite Wizard" for Godot and it imports the full character animation frame by frame I suppose, will test it soon
i'm trying to make a pixel 2d game myself and this is really helpful, can i just ask what software do you use to create ur games, is it unity or UE , and can i learn them just on youtube or do i need special courses

Oh my god I was manually going into the settings and turning on thumbnails every single time. Thanks lmao.

Any chance you were that guy doing libgtx tuts, where the intro would go, ‘hey this is mic…’?
