I love the concept that you took the road trip with the Mirage. I basically quit my regular 8-5 job to become a Doordash and Uber driver, and bought myself a 2023 Kia Rio S, and everyday with it made me feel really happy, freedom and I love cheap, compact car like that. It basic , but get the job done perfectly, plus superb fuel economy like 50 plus or something!
I heard the Rio's are pretty neat cars! I've never been able to test one out though. How much did you pay for yours? Do you like doing Doordash/Uber? Do you live in the car, and travel all over doing it?
@extralock1045 I paid $ 20k outdoor for my Rio, brand new. The stand out feature in it is the transmission which is the IVT, basically a CVT but shift smoother and feel like a automatic. YES I love doing Doordash and Uber, I can work anywhere and anytime, may took a road trip to try work at the other city too. I USE hypermile method with it to maximize the fuel economy too. And so far made a lot more than my old job. I work 12-14 hours a day in my car so yeah, I lived with it now😂
@ Yes, it shows here. Very rare in south Georgia. Moderately rare in middle Georgia. Not so rare here where I live, though it hasn't snowed here in the past two years. So we are due a snowfall this year, statistically.
It has not snowed here in Lake Elsinore, California since 2014. It's 2024 now. Will we get a snowfall before 2025? I hope so! But I give it a 0.1% chance... /;
At 59:00, yes, nasty storm. I remember being a lot more afraid of them out West because you could see so much of them. Not so here in the hills and low mountains. We were there in the 80's. I want to go back. I want to see the Grand Canyon and the giant redwood trees.
@ I'm sure I won't like it as much as Georgia. I've been as far as Colorado. I much prefer the green here. I consider the scenery out West definitely more awe-inspiring, though. I do want to see more of it.
Thanks Todd! This one took me a long time to make! Lots of backtracking on the map trying to figure out where in the world I was, to add the text in. Lol.
Driving for 10 minutes, or 10 hours doesn't really effect how the car runs. But it handles all the roads nicely! I just stick to 55 MPH. It can go much faster, like 65, or 70, but I prefer 55, it gets the best MPG at that speed.

That is awesome!!
What a switch in scenery and weather!
Yes, it was a wild weather day! Does it snow there in Georgia ever? Actually no it doesn't now that I think of it, maybe Mountain Village, GA?

So awesome to watch the clouds around 1:00:00. I reckon I'll stop here for the night.
I like the clouds, especially in the time lapse.
Yay! I finished! 🙂 Quite the adventure.
Yes, it really was! Very long, but nice!

Great video!

So flat at 40:00. I'd fall asleep. In fact, when we were in Colorado years back, we did have trouble staying awake.
I have no problem staying awake, I like driving! ;p It is very flat at times though.
Cutting it a little close with the gas, eh? If I remember correctly, gas stations can be awfully far apart out West.
Yes, I used 8/10 of a tank between stations! LOL.
Hey. How does your car handle the different highways driving that long? Thanks!

Exatcly , that is called hypermile, get up to 55% percent gas mileage at that speed.@@extralock1045
I’m getting car sick watching…..😵💫
Oh dear! I'm sorry about that! Is it because the camera keeps flickering?
@ Sorry, I have bad astigmatism, but was drawn to your car….identical to mine. Glad you had a great mileage and nice trip. Enjoy your new car😁👍
I'm finally getting started on this one. Way behind on TH-cam!
I'm 20% of the way through.
I am way behind as well! LOL.
A bit scary at 1:14:00
The snow was nice! I want to see more of it!
