i have not tried milkmaid to make maida burfi. it should come nicely but the shelf life will be lesser than the sugar syrup method

Hi. I tried the recipe, but the burfi became sticky and did not turn hard even after cooling. Please help
Sorry to hear. If it is like a halwa consistency you can try reheating till the next stage like crispy. but if it is like a toffee stage that is a stage after crispy, then sorry we cant fix it.

It became too sweet how to correct it and while cutting broke to bits
Sorry for late response. I was in India and couldnt find time to clear comments. For any sugar based sweets, if something go wrong, we can reheat and keep stirring till we get right consistency. We can add the broken burfi to the pan and sprinkle some water and reheat and once they melt, again we can stir till we get right consistency

We should not keep cooking maida burfi till its thick. it will become so hard. We need to switch off gas when the mixture is little semi-solid
