I like to think of these as cinematic models. Like if the series was made as a bunch of movies adapting the books, with a higher budget. Seeing that teaser of Thomas at the end, with him having a longer wheel base, gets me excited. Shame it'll be the last one, I'd love to see your takes on other engines past the main 6.
Yeah..., like how would a Hybrid Series Toby, Duck, Donald, Douglas and Oliver look as merely updated versions of their TVS Props? Or perhaps of more closely accurate ones?
Glad you see them that way! That's sort of their purpose haha, they're originally made for 'THOROUGHBRED', which I'm trying to make as cinematic as possible, hence the more cinematic models and grimier looks of them in game. Happy to hear your excited for Thomas!

Percy is gorgeous man seriously. I’m loving the saddle on him he’s not too huge and his cylinders are designed differently but amazingly. Trust me when I saw that tease of Thomas I was HOWLING and a month IS TOO DAMN LONG SUDRAIN I CAN’T WAIT ANYMORE. But seriously Thomas is gonna be WILD

The little green bean child turned out brilliant like the rest of the models, the round tank version especially: that ended up being a bit better than I expected. Big thanks to Kiwi. *NOW,* can't wait to reunite with my #1 blue boy next month! :D

Wow, your hybrid model of Percy looks fantastic! It’s a shame you’re ending the Hybrid Series after Thomas, you’re one of many inspirations for me to learn how to make 3D models like yours. Who knows, maybe if I learn everything I need to, I can pick up where you left off.
Hybrid Percy looks fantastic. I love that you made 2 version of Hybrid Percy both representing John T Kenney illustrations of Percy and the Peter and Gunvor Edwards and Clive Spong illustrations of Percy (side note, I love how that the Edwards/Spong Percy looks more like GWR 1340 Trojan with that saddle tank shape, not to mention Duck's reaction at 10:38 to "Trojan" Percy in a GWR livery). I also can't get over that teaser trailer at the end for Hybrid Thomas, I can't wait for that (I hope to see a version of Thomas with the accurate E2 running board dip behind his coal bunker, and maybe a post-breakfast version with the flat running board).
ive absolutely loved all these models, they've inspired me to put more effort into my work personally. i cannot wait for the finale next month!

You should do the bunker vents and red lining on the back of Thomas like in the rws. Idk if you did this already but you could lower the back buffers to align with the front ones like Awdry would have wanted. Like keep the buffer beam at the same height as it currently is but slide the actual buffers down on it. Also I just discovered this series of yours yesterday and I love it!

I'll be honest, Hybrid Series Percy actually looks better then his TVS counterpart. Now don't get me wrong i don't mind TVS Percy, it's just that the smokebox looks like it was separate from the rest of the body. With that said, i can't wait to see Thomas in his glorious Hybrid Series form.

Again, as I said on twitter/x, I may have a few ideas to what hybrid Thomas may include.
The only problem was the whistle on the cab roof, what if something knocks the whistle off? It's better to be on the front of the cab, so that it's snugged in place. Also, in the filming of Percy running, where's his lamp irons?
Railways have something that is called clearance and loading gauge. Its too measure the free space for trains to travel through safely without having to hit into say an overhead bridge or accidently scraping a platform that is way too close to the tracks.
Percy being the smallest, shouldn't be that much of a problem to have the whistle placed on the roof. Lots of engines from late 19th Century all the way to the early 20th Century have their whistles mounted on the cab's roof and they rarely have any problems with it.
Oh, well I'm okay with James's whistle on his cab roof like it usually does, but I'm not for Percy.

I think the next place to go with the hybrid series would honestly be the Skarloey engines, Duncan especially. I'd love to see what Duncan would have looked like if he was introduced at the same time as Fearless Freddie.

If i pay for the models, would you be apposed to me or some one making the models to be able to resin print them for HO, OO, or O scale? As just private things, you could just have the files to sell as well if that's a requirement. I dont really like Tranz but would love to make and paint model kit bashes of these guys.
These curently aren't for and aren't allowed to be 3D printed, sorry about that. I'll see with some gauge 1 people if I can get one of the hybrid models and see if we can POTENTIALLY sell shells but it's a big maybe
@@SudrianRails K thanks man. I apologies if it was a bit of a rude question. I just wanted to know because i kit bash a lot of O scale British locos for 3 rail O scale. I just got done making the LNER Class U 1, and was just curios about the models or if you would be cool with that.
