The best part of this is the mutual respect between owner and employee. If you know you can ask him the question then its a good place to work. Nice one Gunny
Jesus Gunny, you were laying it on that fast I was getting dizzy just watching you. Nice quick job. Unfortunately I do not have a booth yet, so 2 coats of 2K primer and a scuff after overnight cure then will have to put down my base with an extra coat, give it a red scotchbrite all over to get rid on the occasional bug and bit of dirt, then clear it the next day. Maybe one day I may have the wherewithall do do it straight out like you.
I can't believe how Quickly you lay the paint down Gunny. You make it look so easy. I guess it's all down to experience . Great job your Mom will be well happy mate
Tell you what Gunny your quick blow overs are better than a lot of full resprays I've seen done in a bodyshop, for what I do I prefer solvent to waterbase I have a little mini scheme to mix my colours which works out cheaper than buying them ready mixed. As you know I always used to struggle with my WoW primer getting dieback in the clear every time I used it but after a lot of trial and error and the video you did just for me on using WoW which is on your channel I'm now getting on really well with it so a huge thanks for that Gunny👏👌👍
I still use those mixing cups but I’ve gone back to weighting all my products when using ratios. I’m finding it gives a much better finish. You can’t trust the increments totally on the pots.
Man thanks for that video. I have a iwata LPH 400 with the orange cap and i think it has the 1.3 tip. What's is a good PSI for that spray gun. Let me know.
Nice bro, I’ve been waiting for this, any chance you could upload the masking vid for this? Need to learn from you how you masked without taking the trims and parts off, pls and thank you❤
@@TheGunmanRAW You should head to head the material cost with 6000. you wouldn't have needed more than 1.5 litres in 6000 and the base would have been single visit instead of 3 coats. it would be interesting to work out. the total material cost of each way.
I must be a masochist. Working on my second car for the day, taking a short break because I'm dying in the booth since it's 104f here. What do I do? Watch this...

He forgot to include the most exciting part! /s
But for real, that is a very important step!
He is a busy man, let’s wait for it.
Question - is there much difference in quality between Centari 600 vs 6000 ? , or is it worth just learning on 600, just to restore to OEM finish.
gunny recommended psi and fan fluid for dv1 base
Awesome job Mr Gunman.
Q. Have you stopped using your air fed face mask.
Thanks for sharing ✌️ Peace.
What’s up gunny what psi u running that dv1 great work as always
Can't remember exactly lol, probably 20-25 @ the base
I hold a cloth over the end to blow back through the gun, not keen on blowing thinner into my skin if the glove tore.
I don't think it would hurt you. I did it for decades when I didn't wear gloves because I was too badass 😎😆
Didnt tack it off between coats
👍 👍 👍
Is that water based wet on wet?
Solvent

Freebie respray for mum
