For those on spicy difficulty and above: in later levels I highly recommend upgrading your abilities to max so you can go into mustang mode during perfect dodges. You can then perform perfect dodges on the easier enemies, but you switch targets the biggest threat and use mustang mode on them instead. It instantly teleports you to them now matter how far away they are. After the powerup expires run back to the easy-to-dodge enemy and repeat the process.

I didn't use the lock on feature for well over 2 hours before knowing it gives the exact moment when to get a perfect dodge (purple). This game has become increasingly more fun.

That means you're playing very easy mode. Bitter is regular easy and spicy is normal. You unlock hard and very hard after beating the game.
