Saffa here, great analysis of both games. Truth is boks have become one trick ponnies with a boring "kick away possession at crucial times". This is all thanks to Jacques Nienaber and Rassie Erasmus. Whether the ABs are getting better remains to be seen. We would know for sure if they were to play France and Ireland.

Your analysis on the ABs ruck defense is spot on. It’s a coaching issue. You hardly see Scott Barrett standing in a ruck for the Crusaders.
What’s even worse is that I wasn’t even picking on Barrett, he and Ta’avao just happened to be neglectful in key moments over and over again in that first test 🥶🥶🥶
Great video man! I highly doubt Duane Vermeulen will still play in the world cup. Honestly blows my mind why the coach still picks him with Jasper and Roos at his disposal. I didn't even notice Duane's presence in the last test. I'm curious to know your thoughts on Jacque Nienaber as head coach. Up to this point he hasn't really impressed me. Thanks for the content!
To be fair Duane as well as Dwebbe should have come off the bench
Vermeulen is quite simply too old, Wiese is the best 8 that the Boks have available. Roos will be the finished product post-2023 and likely supplant Wiese post-RWC. I said in my most popular ever video that I can't help think that Nienaber is just a puppet so that Erasmus can exploit a loophole and put himself on the sidelines...

@@dmazingi His game management is incredible but he lacks that explosive energy Wiese has. And you could noticeably see it when Wiese came from the bench. And yes I understand he came out of surgery and is currently out of form, but he's not getting any younger either. He'll be 37 with the next world cup.

Beaden Barrett is a brilliant player but the vast majority of his outstanding moments ocurr during broken play. Every time Beaden and Ritchie Mounga have opposed each other Mounga has outplayed him as a number 10 simply because Mounga has vision which is vital for the position in question. The logical solution is to have both players in the team.

I’d be able to talk plenty on that subject, the biggest names missing right now though, that would be Ollie Norris, Tamaiti Williams and Bailyn Sullivan. Alex Nankivell, Jermaine Ainsley, Marino Mikaele-Tu’u and Bryn Gatland are a few others that got unlucky this year 🙌

@@pete3114 that’s a real tough one cause I don’t wish being dropped on anybody! If I had to guess players who could face the axe, I’d perhaps say Angus Ta’avao, Patrick Tuipulotu, Aidan Ross (sadly because I support the Chiefs), Hoskins Sotutu and Jack Goodhue as contenders? In the case of Ross it’s not even his fault at all, his heir apparent in the Chiefs named Ollie Norris just has a far higher ceiling!

Louis Carbonel has been capped by France. Played against Australia too in '19, didn't he?
Checked on that after uploading, Carbonel has played just 5 tests but hasn’t earned one since 2021’s mid-year series against Australia.
We have no chance unless we gain ascendancy up front in the forwards like we did in our last game also our kicking need's more accurancy instead of just aimlessly kicking the ball away, that's obviously a coaching thing if we can build on our last game, I can't why we can't win the next World Cup.
what we Learned is that the Boks lack the killer instinct that make the AB so. dangerous. That foster isn't really as big a problem as everyone claims but the fact that the rest of the world has now caught up with the blackness

Firstly I agree with most of the video secondly tho the line ref said he saw the pass and it wasn’t forward (you can hear him say it to the ref during the game aswell) also white lock made ZERO effort to make the tackle it should have been a try.

From the recap of the Bok game , there was three very important self made mistakes by the Boks , 12: 58 that was a definite try , if allowed Boks would have run rampant.

In every portion of the video in which you don’t see my face, I’m indeed reading off a script. Unlike some content creators out there, I actually want to enhance my viewers’ knowledge, rather than just get a massive amount of money.
I treat this channel as a side hustle but still take it seriously because I’d like to come across as if I actually know what I’m talking about, because there’s plenty of “creators” out there who don’t have a clue, they just slap a camera down and hit record without editing anything.
@@kobuslouw8955 nothing but facts man, those kinds of people aren’t worth listening to. The only mainstream media personalities from NZ that I take seriously are the people from Sky Sport who present amazing coverage based on footage and stats.
