    The springboks play attractive rugby in my eyes.Sure its not prime 2015 All Blacks rugby but its a different type of attractive.Their foward play is so structured,clean and clinical and their backs are deadly.They can adapt to their opposition as well and they DO run the ball when they spot opportunities.All this "boring rugby" talk is just some stereotypical drivel.

      All 3 are proper rugby nations that understand the game and respect each other.

    I love the passion of these two guys for their countries! But I must disagree with Jeff Wilson. He said that he can't see the Springboks getting any better. I disagree although the Springboks dominated in all facets of the game they weren't clinical enough to finish off some of the clear chances they had. I believe the Springboks are getting better and better and will become more clinical this game. In saying all that much respect to the All Blacks for what they've achieved over the years. We want a strong All Blacks side it spices everything up. All the best to both teams.

    • @interestedbystander196
      @interestedbystander196 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. Boks were very, very good on the day, but they weren't the total package. The maul wasn't its usual potent self, and there were a couple of game-reading moments that were squandered. Definitely room for improvement.
      That said, look at the oppo. Even when they're bad, they're good. They are the frikkin' All Blacks. And that's not nothing.

    • @waywoo25
      @waywoo25 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@interestedbystander196 so true they are the frikkin' All Blacks. They are an awesome team. They still have a very high win rate percentage and if their back line fires they still have the ability to destroy opposition on the scoreboard just as they did to Ireland in the first test. Let the Bokke take that first test as a warning and not become complacent. C'mon Bokke we're not greedy but we like a lot😁. Eat them!

  • @Nkanyiso131
    @Nkanyiso131 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I don’t agree with Jeff when he says Springboks can’t play any better than last week. I think the Boks still have a few more gears - for example being more clinical in the opposition’s 22 and coming away with points during each visit. Another dynamic we can improve on is our decision making when on attack - we still lack the ability to be absolutely ruthless when we have teams on the ropes. So if we can work on these two facets of our game and perfect them - I don’t see any team stopping us - yes there is the chance of an off day and getting knocked but Boks are a very good team at playing knock out rugby. One could argue that our style of play is actually better suited to winning high pressure knock out games.

    Yes Two great players of their respective nations. I was at 1995 WC at Ellis Park but ABS were horribly sick (Jeff spewed his ring out on the sideline straight in front of where we were sitting) But played on with guts (hehe not really the lost most of that - let's say grit, determination, courage, and intestinal fortitude) but the great Joel Stransky had the last word with his deadly accurate kicking in double extra time.
    I agree with Joel - the only way ABS will beat SBS is to be 100% error free. There were 5 potential try scoring opportunities in first test - but dropped passes, forward passes, misdirected passes, and poor tactical kicking ruined all opportunities. All things being equal the team which makes the FEWER or NO mistakes will ALWAYS win. Springboks made zero errors last time - ABS made 5 crucial " basic" errors. EOS.

But while he kept on making ridiculous rugby imaginations I was wondering how he will feel when the Springbokkes are beaten fair 'n square by the All Blacks who are presently having a rest from beating other teams because it lowers their stats before the RWCup next year which they will win against the Sprinbokkes in the final. While our kicking and quick recycle are lacking, the other option is to use our bigger wingers like Reiko, Fainga'anuku and Clarke to run inside or outward off midfield and crash through for an offload.

    SA deserved the win for sure but the ref got it wrong quite a few times especially Marx over the ball, look closely twice a SA hand is holding the ball in and plenty of off sides, sour grapes probably but I love the history between the two best in the word, I am 70 so have seen plenty of fantastic springboks, my favorite of all time Tiny Naude a lock who kicked a penalty at Athletic park in a storm.

    Everyone falling into 'Path Dependency' and 'Recency Bias,' i.e. giving predictive significance to most recent and prominent occurrences, and assuming what just happened will happen next time. But statistically Reversion-to-the-Mean is more likely (ref Mbombela: Boks will play worse, ABs better). Highest quality expectation is: a ding-dong 2pt margin too close to call game, (slightly more likely to be won by the home team) as was the case in most of the last half-dozen tests and has been the long-term history of these two great rugby nations.

    He’s really exaggerating how good they are. They did lose five games in 12 months. These are home games, they don't have a great record away and that's a concern for the Boks because the World Cup isn't in South Africa. Winning a home isn't a great measure of a team's quality, people said that all the time when Ireland was beating the All Blacks in Ireland. You need to Also be able to replicate that away but they haven’t been able to. they’re definitely not as good as they were in 2019
