- This week back on the fleurieu peninsula where the coastline is just so amazing and we find insane tropical paradise.
We visit our favourite campsite, Rapid Bay and we explore the coastline in our rooftop tinny as the weather is predicted to be very good. We go fishing, swimming and beach hoping along the fleurieu peninsula.
There is a very good reason we are back at rapid bay for what we think our 5th visit but this time we wanted to explore it differently and by saying that, by boat.

Hint…. Put your breadcrumbs in a big sandwich bag and you can put heaps of calamari rings in after eggs.
Shake them all about and done. Saves a lot of time and no mess.

Magic place we stayed there for 5 days over the new year . When we did SA coast for 6 weeks , we absolutely loved the area, beautiful rolling hills!!! Kids loved the small dunes at Morgan's Beach
There is something special about South Australia

We did the whole coast from Robe to Bunda Cliffs, then turned around , we are from Geelong , we have to young boys , they loved it, Coffin Bay National Park / Lincoln National Park also stood out with the 4wd Tracks and Salmon fishing was insane, kids loved the Sand boarding on the dunes

Awesome Vid guys, little tip put your flour into a freezer bag with salt & pepper & do the same with your crumbs then you can put all the product into the bag & shake it all up. a lot quicker.

Been that way too. Nice to see the a different perspective from the boat. Regarding the plane, the trails behind the plane are called vapour trails. They form at the wing tips from the high and low air pressure mixing.

Oh this makes us want to try Rapid bay again. When we went the weather wasn’t great and other campers had generators running all day. Just shows the weather absolutely makes it. 😊

Jagging the weather like that certainly turns Rapid bay into paradise! My mouth is watering looking at the calamari that you plated up . Yum!! Have you heard of Kewpie Japanese mayo? It's the best ever. Can buy it in normal supermarkets. Cheers, Jason

Loved this episode. My hubby is from Adelaide (where in Melbourne). We go to Adelaide all the time. Did the Yorke Peninsula back in December (your videos were super helpful!). Have been to the flinders ranges but never here! I said that to my hubby, he grew up camping at second valley which apparently near rapid bay. I’m not a boat person (wish I was but one of those irrational fear things), is it still wonderful even if you can’t get to those amazing places you went to?
Brings back memories for me. We stayed at Normanville and went to Rapid Bay. That little alcove you went in to (the second one) we stopped in there too with our 2 golden retrievers. Loved it ❤ Unfortunately it was too windy for us to put our drone up 😢

Can’t wait to get to Rapid Bay early December! Love your vids. Just trying to work out a boat as our tinny is too heavy to roof top with the van.
If you get the weather window right you will absolutely enjoy it. If you can, take the boat but remember you can still enjoy it without the boat. Take kayak or sup board 🙌🏻
It is well worth it, be sure to book a good amount of time so you get some good weather 😊

I like to change the handle over. They are designed for Americans. Your strength and control are right-hand in most people. There is left handers. The reel is geared and has spool brake. People keep swapping hands when fishing

Been watching you guys for years and we were in Rapid Bay in November and it was amazing. We’re now in WA stuck at Norseman broken down but giving me a chance to plan our journey. Can you tell me where it was in WA that you guys camped and floated down an inlet or river on floaties?

Hi mate. The ladder we got from road tech marine. I can't say it's the best idea on our tinny as if no one is in the boat it wants to flip. When one gets in the boat the other holds the nose down and then when in the boat the other sits on the nose of the boat while the second person gets in

The boat loader is called “ custom boat loader “ and we think they made in Perth

It's a stater territory 349 which is a 3.5m. Looked today and seem like they don't make the 349 anymore.
Shame to hear that Bobby is a bad boy on the boat. You guys say you don’t catch fish but you are experts in catching squid
don't get us wrong, we try bring bob on the boat with us but we have learnt that if we want to both fish and film, it just makes it difficult. We need to catch the bigger fish
It is a shame, would love to have him with us but he just gets way too excited!

Its a stater 349 territory but looks like they don't make this size anymore on there website. The boat we have is the same hull on the quintrex F350 explorer
