I love the last advise. Very profound. 🙏🏼 What if I met my special someone online while I am still in Philippines? He is a US veteran and now does live streaming for a living. I do the same too and I am also a freelance artist. That's how we met. I have family in the US, my mother is in US and she's mainly the reason of my visit to US. But since me and my bf met we kinda thinking to hangout maybe for a week once I get to US.. but last night he kinda slipped and kinda hinted that maybe the quickest way we can be together is to get married.. he didn't say it verbatim like that but... I sensed that he almost suggested it. I am a lil worried. Cuz my mom lives in Nevada 😆 and my bf wants to meet up in Vegas.... I... I am worried he'll drop the "let's get married" bomb out of nowhere. i want to marry him, 100%! But I'm scared of being seen as fraud.... I dunno.

As long as you can prove that you have known each other for a while and that you do not get married right away, it should be fine. Take time and get to know each other first

Hi, thank you for answering this question. If the person decides to go back to their home country vs staying, will they come with their green card? Or they still have to apply, wait almost two years for green card? Would you say there’s a time difference coming to the US when filling I129 and I130? Thank you

Very informative. Thank you. But your advice lacks sufficient method and hope for two human beings who should be sharing life together. It is not so easy to have a relationship for several months; get married on a tourist visa, and then be expected to stay apart for 9 to 18 months just to wait for the paperwork of a inefficient bureaucracy. A long distance relationship alone can lead to divorce. Married people have a natural right to live together without unnecessary impediments. I think you need to offer more hope and the best way to proceed, for a couple who prefers to stay together as much as possible, while the pencil pushers putter along.

I want to bring my Filipina here from the Philippines on a tourist visa so we can get married. Of course we would wait until after 90 days to get married, and then she would go back home. Would it be a good idea on her 2nd visit to file and adjustment of status, so we don't have to wait possibly over a year so she could stay and not have to leave?

Thank you for sharing!...I went to US last 2016. Then February 2021, I met my fiance through Catholic dating app during pandemic. After a long wait for the border to open because of travel restrictions, I finally travelled back to US and had our first face to face meeting on April 30, 2022. We got engaged May 13, 2022. I stayed with him and his family during the whole time and went back home May 25, 2022. And we're planning to have our wedding next year 2023. Now our concerns are (1) he's unvaccinated and there will be travel restrictions when we have our wedding in my home country not unless the travel requirements will be lifted AND/OR (2) will it be okay if i come to US again through tourist visa ---> get married ----> go back to my home country -----> apply & wait for spouse visa approval? will the 30/60/90 days rule still apply? Please advise what should be the best option for us. Greatly appreciate your response.

Hi. I got a tourist visa in May, at that moment we were just dating my boyfriend in Turkey for about 6 months and before that we were just friends for about a year. Then I flew to his place in the United States for a couple of weeks to get to know each other better in everyday life and I got pregnant. Then he proposed to me, but the bride’s visa is a very long process. Can we get married on a tourist visa? And do we have to wait 90 days from the date of my entry into the United States? Do I need to leave the United States after the wedding? My boyfriend is a United States citizen. Please help (

If your relationship is genuine, you can get married. If you want to stay in the USA while processing your immigration status, you will need to file both spouse petition and adjustment of status at the same time. If you need assistance please send us an email at ask@visaharmony.com

Hi, this question is for my Indian friend who is a Green Card holder. His wife passed away a few months ago, and now he wants to enter into a second marriage. He is considering filing a visitor visa for one of the women in India. After she arrives in the USA after 4 months, he wants to marry her and apply for a Green Card. Will this work? Or is there any other alternative, considering that the F2A process to come from India to the USA is lengthy. Please let me know what options he has.

    Dear Catherin,
I plan to marry my life time love, who is an american citizen. We know each other for 23 years and we live on a long-distance relationship for 2 years now. Because of my private situation I am neither allowed to marry her yet or to apply for respective K1 visa, etc. Thus we want to speed up the process to finally be together; once I am legally free here in Germany. (I am not divorced in Germany yet)
    My Question:
I consider to marry her on an ESTA tourist visa, while I am in the United States. I dont intend to stay right away, so I wonder if I would be allowed to proceed like that.
Afterwards I would go home and apply for the respective CR1 Visa. My wife would fill in the petition Form I-130 and I would still have to commute between Germany and the U.S. until my Visa Application will be confirmed.
How do you evaluate my plan ? Would that be considered as fraud or ist everything fine when I travel back home and start the CR1 process ?
Thank you so much in advance.

My Girlfriend & her 19 yr old Daughter both have tourist visa. We have been dating for 26 month; I’ve visited her twice in her country and she has visited here 3 times When they come in Feb/2024 my girlfriend and I would like to get married while she is in the US She must return to her country to work for her employer another 10 months before she retires. She & her daughter would like to then return to the US permanently to live her with me.
After we are married, what forms do I need to fill out and submit to make sure we are following all of the immigration laws & rules so they can stay in the US once they return here?

    • @VisaHarmony
      @VisaHarmony  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Our suggestion is to NOT get married yet when they are here in the USA on tourist visa. The reason for that is the daughter is now over 18 years old. You will not be able to petition her as stepchild because of that. Please watch this video, we explained it here: th-cam.com/video/0ikha5Hh7L4/w-d-xo.html
Here is our suggestion: File Fiancee Petition instead. Make sure that you meet the 3 major requirements: th-cam.com/video/pkEmD-peeQ0/w-d-xo.html
With the Fiancee petition, you will be able to include the daughter as beneficiary derivative. You can file the Fiancee petition when they are here in the USA then once they go back to their home country, they can wait for the approval of the petition then go for the interview at the US embassy in their home country then come back to the USA on K1 & K2 visas. Then you and your girlfriend can get married within 90 days from their arrival.
We hope that helps. Thank you.
