Absolutely no pros for cold weather cruising for me, whenever the weather has been disappointing it's a right downer for me. Once did a cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong, started with high 30's and ended with it being absolutely freezing in HK, really didn't expect such a drastic change. This was in late Jan.
We definiately prefer a warmer cruise climate on the whole, that is not to say we wouldn't do Alaska again, or an Arctic Circle or Antartica cruise if we ever got the chance, but overall, we prefer to be able to have a nice cocktail or food sat outside and enjoy time in the pool, which is not as much fun when it is freezing. Such a shame on the HK weather David. We've set off from Singapore just the once so far, but headed down to Australia, so it stayed in the 30s the whole time. We've love to sail to HK or Japan though, not matter how warm or not it was.
If you go when its proper cold you almost need snowsuits. We went on a 5 day search for santa way back with the kids to Finnish Lapland. It was -20. You couldnt go outside unless fully suited up. Took ages to get ready. For those interested. We found Santa on the last day. Amazing coincidence eh?
My other half has never fancied a cold cruise, as she is something of a sun worshipper. So when she gets herself parked, ready to sun seek, I am off on my adventures round the ship, and the different bars. What would I do with her on a cold cruise?😂
Canaries are lovely at Christmas. Normally low to mid 20s
@@SuiteNatured haha 🤣 least I won't melt then :-)
The restaurant on the Apex was the Rooftop Grill. It was open on our Caribbean sailing and it was tasty and fun.
Of course, Rooftop Grill, thanks Michelle. We did have a reservation booked before we got on, but it never opened.
I've loved the mood music 😂
Agree completely. Us northerners are happy if it reaches 20 degrees. And very uncomfortable over about 23

I would need to swerve someone elses wedding
And i am definitely swerving the renewing the vows nonsense.
Oh god, it sounds like my worst nightmare.
Woah. Whats this about nudists?
