- So I sat down with Cruizah to film a video of the facebook marketplace and ended up driving 250 miles from Falkirk to Aberdeen and back to buy a can of full Sugar Irn Bru!
We literally drove across Scotland for a can of pre sugar tax original recipe Irn Bru... We need help.
I swear we both suffer from ADHD. We need to stop being friends and stop carrying out mad ideas that involve us travelling across Scotland. I dont care how funny, or how much banter it is. This is costing me a fortune.
JK, im never stopping this madness. I spent an entire day sticking googly eyes on DVD cases yesterday. Living life init.

Not only can I taste the difference, but I'm violently allergic to aspartame and ace-k so thanks to Jamie Oliver, I can never drink Irn Bru again without turning into a painful human icing bag for the following twelve hours. Proper savage.

ill believe it when i see it, but i constantly see people telling me they are allergic to sweeteners when in reality nothing ever happens to them when consuming them without there active awareness.
I'm the same, like I said in my comment - it's like a hangover without the alcohol for me and I do not even get hangovers with alcohol. I am one of those fortunate people who can drink, have a great night and next morning (apart fae a wee bit of brain fog) be bouncing around and be totally fine. But that Aspartame? OAFT! Learned about everything it can do to you during my nursing studies at college from my wonderful lecturer who was pretty much a walking encyclopedia. Apart from the one time I decided to get the new Irn Bru to taste the difference, I have not went near anything with Aspartame since learning about it back in 2004. I wondered why I was getting pains in my hands akin to arthritis. I wondered why my muscles were seizing up like that of someone with MS, fingers locking into place. I was in my early 20's back then, so certainly no old age could I point it to. I wondered why I was getting headaches that floored me so much I needed a dark room to lie doon in. My senses would be in overload akin to someone with Autism and I am certainly no an autie. When I stopped my intake of Aspartame, the pain stopped. I felt all of that once again, when I tasted the new Irn Bru and swore never to buy it again. Barrs have lost income from me because of it.
You definitely can be allergic to it, my sisters epilepsy got kicked off from being totally dormant (ie she had never had a seizure before in her life) to having a few a day, she has to take 4 pills a day now, and doctors proved that it was aspartame that caused it. Seriously stay away for sweeteners it’s not worth the risk. It tastes shite an all

Haven't had Irn Bru since 2014 when I visited Scotland from the USA. I loved the stuff at first taste and bought several bottles before getting on the plane. I drank them all on the plane ride home cherishing every sip of that sugary ginger goodness.

I spent a ridiculous amount of money on Amazon at the end of last year for a 6-pack of full sugar Irn Bru (I’m in the US) because I wanted some for Hogmanay. My mates were not impressed. I’m hoarding the last can in my fridge.
On a side note, if you’ve got any decent single mates with a beautiful accent like yours (lived near Stirling for 4 years) I’d be willing to move back to Scotland for that 🏴❤️

Just add your own sugar yourself. Problem solved. I just tried it now and it works extremely well. When you add the sugar it fizzes up which is a major highlight of the experience..

Yeah Thats nothing I drove 480miles from just south of Leeds to Glasgow for irn-bru full sugar round trip. I don’t drive so this trip was super hard. Also the old recipe wasn’t as good as I remember, After having both side by side I prefer the new stuff. Not sure if it was just because I’m used to the new stuff more but I didn’t like old stuff as much as I remember I was so disappointed
