We found that while the RAM and CPU and transfer allowances are excellent, it doesn't quite have the sheer network speed that you'd get from Vultr High Frequency, or Digital Ocean premium droplets. I've been using Contabo VPS for years now, and can i say that it did not disappoint me at all, i have been running on contabo vps a lot of projects, from wordpress sites to web apps/saas projects and all have been working great with very good response time, also like you said you can host more websites per vps due to their high RAM. I have the most expensive vps and i am using to host wordpress sites for my clients. I really recommend Contabo to anyone looking for a cheap VPS.
Also its good to know that the Bandwidth goes from 200mb/s to 1gb/s as you go up on the vps plan.

@@onlinealarmonline_alarm8256 Not sure if the VPS have GPU so you can live stream on it. Even if it has a GPU it will be like 4 MB of GPU which is not suitable for livestreaming
You can use these VPS for secondary steaming server in case your primary stram stops due to any power or internet outage just to keep the stream alive.
But you might get a very bad FPS if you use these VPS

I am quite recently an user of contabo vps s.
The uptime is pretty good.. but weekly a downtime which lasts some minutes between 24:00 ~ 08:00 UTC+1 but general uptime is for 2 months by 99.95%

@@IdeaSpot Thank you for reply. It's quite strange that the 4 core VPS (contabo) runs slower than the single core (Vultr) on the MySQL test. I'm not sure whether Mysql run on full 4 cores or just single core.
@@gadgetkh9408 Acatually he didn't compare the CPU core speeds...but it can outperform both other VPS providers. But VPS S has 200Mbits so it cannot able to perform well in 500 clients load test.
Been running Contabo for atleast 2+ years, never experienced downtime, one vps even with over a year of uptime! However, yes the cpu bottlenecks due to VPS can be noticed for some cases

The limit is for litespeed enterprise , so we used openlitespeed here which is unlimited 👍

As per your video and all those test showing that 1core 2gb ram Digital Ocean and vulter is faster than 4core 8gb contabo vps. So for free its seem like a scam and catch they offered what they say but in terms of quality those a equal or lower than the 1core performance.❤ Thx for showing so much testing results from india

What i wonder is becouse of the network limits is it even worth getting the NVMe storage or just settling with SSD and actually getting to use the space.
NVMe will still give you a little faster latency, but if you really are going to use that space SSD is pretty good value too

Great review, my only concern in the video is the graph where the 1gb ram hosting can run 10 wordpress sites. I have a 2gb ram host plan with 3 wordpress sites and 1 woocommerce and its barely enough...

Hi IdeaSpot, Do you think the load testing limitation was because of the port upload speed? I called their sales department and these are the port speeds per instance type:
S - 200mbps
M - 400mbps
L - 600mbps
XL - 1gbps
It should behave similar to DO when using the XL or even an M based on 500 users per second. What do you think ?

You are correct, VPS M & L with Nvme clearly can handle stuff much better with increased port speed and would still be in lower budget.

Contano has too many maintenance schedules. The VPS is unreachable when they do maintenance.

@@golddust5778 no, for loader io it was a template site pulling around 2.3GB over the 1min test which seemed to be enough to cause some bottlenecking, but really though if a site is that popular I'd be thinking more about what color mercedes to buy rather than my $5-10 VPS 😂😂

I am using contabo but overall performance is not unto the specification provided. Cost is way big winning factor.
Issue noticed is initial loading time is much more but once its up then performance get improved. If process is idle then waking up takes more time.
Overall Not Much satisfied.

more than enough. most csgo servers on faceit and co are hosted on 10+year old xeon servers. contabo hosts on Epyc 7282 processors which are really great
How reliable for forex VPS because weekday downtime will mess up the Bot.
My experience with Contabo was disappointing. I purchased a VPS over a year ago, which did not perform as advertised.

Being able to host 80 WP sites vs "only 10" on other hosts in terms of memory does not mean much in practice as for each website you're essentially using everything else that the server limits you to: bandwidth, stream speed, CPU's etc etc. So on paper you COULD host 80 WP sites in terms of memory but since you're using not just memory, but everything else for each website hosted, it's not even close to 80.
Alex, there support is really Bad, been 3 days my server is down, no uptime commitment from their side, Business Suffering a lot, websites are down, E-commerce websites are down, Team is sitting Ideal what to do, No where to go

In its defence no one having a website that gets 500 users/s is going to be getting the cheapest VPS available... or even a VPS for that matter.
well, thats a blank site test 500/s, really it would be more like 50/s for a larger production site but for sure that is still high and Contabo will work well for a lot of projects for sure.

I have been using contabo for years. Their technology is great, their billing department however, is terrible. They don't over charge you or anything but they always deduct monthly even though I called them repeatedly and asked to be charged annually.
you can manually prepay them, i just i dont like the maintenance downtime on contabo? have u experienced the same?
@@sparkforme22 well, they usually email their scheduled maintenance if your server is expected to have one. But they had two downtimes in the past two weeks without warning. Granted it was only a few minutes but that’s ages in internet time
Contabo is actually average as compared to Digital Ocean.
Their hardware is actually on just web specs table but eventually you will feel lots of performance difference when compared to same spec vps from GC, AWS, DO
If you go far dedicated VPS plan then the performance will be good on any providers.

I used Contabo's service for more than two months before they claimed that my virtual private server had a virus and asked to arbitrarily terminate it. They then demanded that I pay an additional service cost of 34.05 dollars to reopen the virtual private server. My virtual private server, however, just uses it for personal purposes and does not access or download any malicious software. To reopen the VPS, this company made me pay the aforementioned price. There is no method for me to recover my deleted data. Beware of this type of deception if you discover that Contabo offers a cheap virtual private server service you can utilize. It's a fraud.
