- You'll learn to set up WordPress on a free VPS. The Oracle 'Always Free' tier has a couple good CPU options, either an AMD EPYC 2Ghz, or the Ampre ARM OCPU, where upto 24GB ram and 6 OCPU are possible when available!

In your set up you could also check the box in Boot Volume "Specify a custom boot volume size" and slide it to 200GB as this is also within the maximum free limit :) Better 200GB than 50GB...

However, I do want to mention that you suggest trying to get the arm based processor for higher cpu and memory however, you can not install cyberpanel on an arm based vm (unless I'm doing something wrong).

And I follow all steps shown in this TH-cam. But the ssl cannot be properly installed. I tried to work around by making use the WordPress plugin to install a ssl cert. but still in vain. Is there a way to tackle this?

HI there, great tutorial! Is there any difference between 1)using the available private and public keys or 2)generating my own with Putty? Why would I generate them with Putty if there is a pair already available for download? I see that we should convert the downloaded keys to Putty format, but why not just generate them in Putty in the first place ...

Just to add - even if the Ampere A1 shape was available - it would have not worked with an x86_64 OS image and so it would be impossible to install LiteSpeed out of the box. Did you plan on compiling LiteSpeed yourself?

@ideaspot , hi sir i have problem on my cyberpanel access. I cant access my cpanel after I enable the "security/firewall" . I'm using cloud port :2083. What's the command for disabling the cyberpanel firewall using ash?
I don't know why but for my first instance, I forgot to reboot the server as indicated at the end of this video, and everything worked fine. For my second instance, I rebooted the server and I couldn't connect to the cyberpanel anymore. So I reinstalled it without rebooting at the end and everything worked fine for my second instance as well.
I have installed a few hour ago and initiated the reboot after completing installation and the login IP doesn't work. It returns ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. I am wondering if I should reinstall it over again without reboot.
If you install the link in 8:05 you don't have to add the Ports for http and https traffic in the beginning. It is creating it automatically
after installation how much time it will take to visit IP address url, I have tried and IP links doesnt work

Thank you for the great video. If the Ampere is unavailable or out of capacity today, does that mean it may be available on a later date?
yes it can be, also try reducing the 8GB ram sometimes that will work, otherwise just wait - you can always use AMD micro 1GB in the meantime if you just want to learn how it works (like I did in this video)

Why did you change the processor type from AMPERE to regular default with smaller parameters? You set amps first, then set Regular as the default processor. Is it possible to set the AMPERE processor type with parameters of 4 cores and 24 RAM in the free version? ThankYou
in this video there was no ampere capacity available, and actually cyberpanel doesn't run on ampere anyway 😅 I have other oracle videos on the channel where I've used ampere if your're interested
Hi alex .. tried to migrate existing website on shared hosting to test it out and learn more here. Used all-in-one migrate plugin (as per your other video). but import failed with 80mb limit error msg from the plug-in. solution offered was upgrade to pro. or make changes with php file which I did... updated the upload limits. still failed. but think this is plug-in limit not server. or I am doing something wrong. 1st time VPS from shared and trying out/learning is there another way around this? thanks!
fixed... had to zip sql file.. with the increase php config settings for max execution time, upload size and post size. not sure why it did not import without this.
Great tutorial and I followed this tutorial last year, my blog is up and running since then, free of charge. 100% free unlike GCP and Azure. The only problem is when the Ubuntu have updates, my blog will be offline until I manually reboot the server. Just wondering if there any script to automatically reboot the server when there are updates?

You have changed the Ampere back to AMD CPU. Would this tutorial work the same on the ARM CPU?
Nope! For me I got an error that CyberPanel doesn't support ARM (x86_64 only)

I think it’s faster but I’ve not managed to get one for myself- but Ubuntu 20.04 is supported so it should be fine

@@IdeaSpot I think that although I was able to get the 4GB server provisioning they (Oracle Admin) are blocking open litespeed install on the FREE plan I tried the 1GB server and install went through ok

It will be ok for 30 days but it will get deleted- if you want always free you need to stay within 4cpu and 24gb ram

Vultr can handle a LOT of traffic, this oracle free tier is pretty limited but with low traffic it’s still ok
how much storage we get for amd instance ?
default is 46GB, but you have 200GB in total that can be used on the free acount

Apparently you wouldn't be able to install the panel on the ARM 24 GB processor.
You can try aapanel rather than cyberpanel for ARM cpu

oh this is because you can't run cyberpanel on ampere, you should use AMD. If you wanna use the ampere, check my hestia cp tutorial, it works well 👍

I realized cyberpanel that uses litespeed doesn't work on arm. I used Hestia instead using another tutorial in this channel.

The setup in this video is free forever, I’ve been using it all year - with 1gb of ram you could run somewhere up to ~10+ lightweight sites with low traffic

Finally i come to know that , choosing arm processor for web , not useful , again i chose 1gb limited amd , i installed cyber panel successfully , but the problem is uploading themes , and plugins not possible in WordPress, it always showing errors , i googled for it , there is answer from 2019 in cyberpanel forums , i'm totally frustrated ,finally come to that better to buy professional c panel hosting , don't waste tym on these kinda free stuff
I never got to test the arm method since it wasn’t available for me but I hear aapanel works ok with it - but yeah, a cheap vps or other cPanel can be a nice choice
