i am enjoying watching your old episodes. i think the motif in your grandmother's doilly is the pineapple motif. my mom used to make them too. your mens' sweaters are coming along great. you sure picked 2 big projects to complete. so glad Kristine Lehrer recommended you.
A pineapple motif - that's good to know! I just checked and it has the same name in Polish (szydełkowy ananas) 😅 I know, it really bit off quite a bit with these two projects! Although it was all worth the time and effort because both men love their sweaters and they were each a perfect fit. Awwwh thanks so much Paula, you're too kind 🥰
@@acornknits Also, since I'm in the Northern hemisphere it's about to be Spring. I'm currently knitting on Camisole No.2 by My Favourite Things Knitwear. They have some stunning patterns. I'm using a linen and pima cotton blend yarn..I'm so excited!
@@talesofaknitter Oh nice, I know the exact design! I would love to see it once you've finished. I've been wanting to knit the Camisole No 2 for ages but I wasn't sure if knitting it with cotton or linen would have enough stretch for my liking. So I'd been excited to hear about your experience with it 😊
@@acornknits the pattern is gorgeous. I'm using a yarn from KnitPicks called Lindy Chain. It's a blend of linen and cotton with so much strength from the yarn being chain plied. I'm so excited to see it finished and I'll let you know how the yarn wears.
Hi Natalia , I just found you , and binge watched all your episodes,so nice to have an Australian knitter to watch I am also in Sydney, definitely going to check out the yarn store you mentioned 😀 thank you . The ranger cardigan turned out beautifully , love the colour and those button holes look so neat 👏🏻 looking forward to the next episode
Thank you Debra, I'm so flattered! 🥰 If you ever have the chance to visit Dulwich Hill, there's also an amazing LYS called Skein Sisters! They stock a fantastic range of indie and overseas yarns. You definitely need a lot of self control to prevent yourself from buying all the beautiful things! 😍
i love the yarn with dog hair in it! I recently read an article about a woman who spins her dogs hair into yarn and ever since then ive been obsessed with that idea. But sadly, I dont have a dog or know how to spin 😅
Isn't it fabulous!? I've heard of people spinning up samoyed fur which would be sooo soft 😍 Maybe you can ask a local dog groomer for the leftover fur? I'm sure they won't think that's weird at all 😅
@@acornknits yes I definitely could try that 😂 I could also try using the hair from my mothers cat (maine coon) but he doesnt like to be groomed at all 😅
@@pistachioki If I'm honest, I do exactly that with my two ragdolls 😂 Even though they both enjoy being groomed, it will still take years before there's enough to knit a sweater 😹
I’m in Canada so it’s warming here but we still have about four feet of snow. I don’t find I really seasonally knit, I usually try to start Christmas knitting in August because I’m always way more ambitious than I am capable 😂
So is a Canadian summer when you only have to wear one layer of thermals rather than four? 😅 I'm so envious of all the snow although I'm sure you're probably pretty over it by now. That's very strategic planning! Do you have any go-to patterns for gift knits?
Great video! Cool cherry blossom behind you!

Like the corner. Nice and relaxing.
Thank you! I'm glad to hear it 😊
I enjoy your podcasts so much! It's always fun to see what you're working on. 😊
Awwwwhh thank you! I'm such a newbie to podcasting so it really means a lot to hear that 🥰

I've been looking for a jacket cardigan to make for the cottage and this is a great looking pattern. Thanks so much!
Yay! I'm so happy to hear that. It's a really nice pattern and the finished piece looks so polished 😊

We always called the dirty blond hair “dishwater blond”.
I've never heard that term before! I don't know which sounds worse, "dirty blonde" or "dishwater blonde" 😂
Sorry but your background music was a bit irritating!
Thanks for letting me know, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm experimenting with different background music so that's helpful feedback!
