The white pigment I use is an opaque watercolor - GOUACHE (Holbein)

Maria, I love this painting so much! I feel as though I should be able to smell the lavender! I am working more with mixing my paint on the paper and wet in wet for my backgrounds. Watching you paint is so relaxing to me and I have been learning so much by watching you. (The hardest thing to do is waiting for the lainting to dry between steps) You are a fantastic teacher! very beautiful painting.............reminds me of an impressionistic scene of gorgeous lavender blowing in the wind..........also, I absolutely love the cuffs and sleeves of that blouse......you must be very confident that you won't get any paint on it : )......I wear a flannel shirt as a smock now, after ruining a few tops by staining paints that just won't come out
