It is funny how watching THIS video helped me to get an idea on how to paint tree bark texture. I is fascinating when you get an idea/answer from something so unrelated.

It takes forever lol maybe if I post less videos per week I can find that time...but to be honest if I was doing voiceover while I am painting a real painting then I wouldn't be able to concentrate as much. It's easier if it's something small like this and I'm more on a mission to show something specific 😂

I love the ones where you talk but also the ones where you just have annotations; they both have their advantages. For example, in the ones where you don't talk, I can scan back through the video for your written hints, or play the video on silent with my own music. But of course you can explain things in more detail by talking. So, please keep up the good work and just do whichever style works best for you! Thank you again for all your wonderful videos!!

Hi Margaret, I am so happy this video is helpful :) yes, sometimes too much water or paint could be a problem. I have created a very easy seascape video yesterday thinking about you. I used a rough paper, because rough is easier to paint on than hot pressed, textured paper is more forgiving because it doesn't require as many details. I will try to work on it fast so i can post on our Patreon. xx
