Mr. Abbas, the way in which you articulate the material is very helpful, you have so many good videos. My Q - what might be an appropriate profile for “National Life Insurance Specialist - Internal wholesale role”?
    1. Maintain & expand relationships.
    2. Drive company sales strategies.
    3. Lead & support sales
    performance.
    4. Work efficiently & establish priorities to bring value to Investment Advisors.
    It’s a role at a Inv Firm.
Seeking: A qualified, high-energy, self-starter, activity focused person who thrives in a entrepreneurial team environment.

What happens when the job duties and interactions require you to be that profile eg maverick, but your style is Controller?
If your duties involve creating project charts and be detail oriented, but you don’t do any of those well and but more about innovation , you won’t last long at the job ?
I ask my HR assistant if she “cheated” on the PI after 6 months of working with us, she said yes. Her profile came back as Promoter but she isn’t anything like that. She’s more of a controller. She admitted she answered in a way that people think an HR person should be. That was enlightening.
I was about to place her on a Performance Improvement plan because she was awful and creating a welcoming onboarding experience. She hated doing anything to socially interact and promote the company.
Her work style is so much like another Controller we have. She loves structure, rules, and reserved. Opposite a promoter.
Now that I know this, I will adjust her duties to where she will work more with policies and procedures versus with people.
Be yourself - you’ll enjoy your duties much more and excel at it too, trying to be another PI style

The job model is created so that a recruiter can find someone that has the resume' with the appropriate background AND to find a person that will not have to adapt for the role they're applying for. If you manipulate the assessment to get the outcome that you think the recruiter is looking for, you may get the position, but you'll put yourself into a role that you need to adapt for all the time. That's not good for a long term career. Honestly, you'll probably get frustrated and quit. The more you adapt for a role, the more energy you use, making you wonder if you made the right decision. In addition, a job title does not always predetermine a specific profile name. Culture and Core Values may also adjust the model that the employer is seeking. Just be you and do not try to force yourself into a role. I recommend reading the instructions and just following the process. PI was used with me 13 years ago and I was placed in the perfect role for me. We still use it to this day and turnover is low, morale is high and the culture is great because we place people in the correct roles. I hope this helps someone.

    • @bahroz
      @bahroz  ปีที่แล้ว +4

Thanks for this perspective… I do agree to some parts but not entirely… in summary you will and should always adopt to the role.. and if not then put yourself in situations where you will need to adapt… that’s the only way to grow… that’s how I grew only because I did things which were not comfortable which I didn’t know or had any prior experience…
Also if not the entire role there will always be parts of the role where you need to adopt..
      Thanks
