Update: played at Diente de perro and when I pulled up to the cart barn I asked for Someome who spoke English and out come JJ!!! He was great on the course. Weather delay for an hour when we came back he was eating a mango under a tree on the 10th waitin! He did mention this guys swing wasn’t the best for being on tv 😂😂😂
jojosaute Exactly, so would I. I suppose if you’re a golfer you would enjoy and appreciate it more. But even if you’re not it’s still just as interesting
Erik, your videos take me to places I probably will never be lucky enough to visit. But I thank you for opening my world to the beautiful places golf has to offer. Love your work!
I know how much work this is for you and your crew to put these videos together. I hope you guys are able to stop and smell the roses....this sure seems like a fun way to make a living. Great job you guys...thanks for taking me on the adventure
The Dye Fore course (other 18) at Casa de Campo is just as amazing in its own way. Went there with a big group of 30 guys and half preferred teeth and half dye fore. Both awesome and Casa de Campo is an incredible resort.
Ppl like JJ are treasures. I met a caddie who used to work since 1958 on the same course in Egypt till this moment. A great personality with immense experience in golf and in life. God bless them all.
it seems tired to say the same thing over again and again every episode... but simply the best golf content on the tube... well done my guy...well done...
Thanks Erik. I took my wife there for our honeymoon. Had her read Golf in the Kingdom. She got it. Had her hit balls on the driving range. After 3 days I decided I could take her out on the course. Paid the starter a nice fee to get us out by our selves with no one around. Get to the 5th hole par 3 which scares the shit out of most golfers. She gets up there with a driver and puts it on the green and gets a par! She shot 51 on the front nine. Unbelievable. We call it a day and stop and have a few cocktails at the bar you were at off the 9th green. I say, come on, I'll show you what this is really all about. Get back in the cart (with a couple of cocktails), head out to one of the tees on the water on the back nine. Take our shoes off and proceed to hit every ball in my bag into the ocean. Nice memory. And a great resort for sure.
Of all the amazing places you have shown this is the first one that seriously makes me want to go there. I have never left the country, I'm not a huge fan of traveling and to top it all off I am a bad golfer just starting out, but there is just something about this place that calls to me. Luckily I live near by in Florida so maybe it will happen someday! I hope I get to say hi to JJ.
Always love to see the course where I grew up ! Loved the video too. However, I must tell you a couple of facts. The original name of the course was "Cajuiles", which means cashews in spanish. There were many of these short cashew trees all around the course. It was only the par 3 hole number 16 that had the name teeth of the dog. The name of the whole course was later changed to "Teeth of The Dog". Finally, it was Charlie Bluhdorn ( Gulf and Western Chairman) and Alvaro Carta (CEO of Central Romana) who brought Pete Dye to design the golf course. Mr Eduardo Lima at the time was an engineer for the sugar mill. He later became minority owner and CEO of Central Romana until he passed away. It is a magical place. I arrived at Dominican Republic drinking milk at the age of 10 and left drinking beer at he age of 18 ! No drinking age back then.... . I love the years that I spent there.
It blows my mind how each season and every episode everything gets better. The editing, the interview questions, the golf game. Such a pleasure to watch.
So much character in this episode . The editing of the episode and the direction is top notch . And ofcourse , how emotionally Erik describes the experience really shows his attachment to the game .
Wow, I lived in DR 27 Years before I Moved to the States and now that I play golf I cant wait to came back and play at Casa de Campo. TBH I didn't know the course was this amazing.
I just love watching these vlogs of golf from around the globe the quality of each presentation is fantastic you really should consider making a few longer episodes so you can really dig the history of the course & expose the characters you meet, loving your work from the UK.
I would totally sit down to dinner and beers with JJ and tip him well and just listen to him talk about his career at the course. It would be worth it for me. He was more excited to caddy for President's than for anyone in Hollywood.
Went to teeth of the dog two days ago... JJ was my caddie unexpectedly! He was so awesome. Knew the greens to a tee. Highly recommend asking for him to caddie when you arrive to Casa de campo. They don’t have much work cuz of the virus rn
My dad took me here in 1987 and his biz partner, Bill Little, hit a hole in one on number 5 our first round! The caddies went wild - and got an extra tip for telling him where to hit the ball.
I’d sit down and have a beer with JJ. What a cool dude. The fucking balls to tell a president he had a bad putt. That, and you can tell he’s worked hard to get to where he’s at. Incredible.
Solid Tank yes, be ready to shell out a lot of money. Every where you go I’d expensive and to play the teeth of the dog could be over 1000 dollars for 4 player plus the required caddie fee and tip
i first remember seeing this course in one of my dad's old golf books from probably fromt he late 70's. you dont forget a name like "teeth of the dog". it's looked a lot more wild and less "resorty" back then.
Recently found your videos and have really enjoyed all of them so far. Curious if anyone knows the relevance behind his tattoo that says “I love you keep going”? I feel like it’s a good story.
Imagine all the famous actors and people that JJ has caddied for when he only mentions 3 of the most powerful people in the history of the world as ones who stuck out to him 😅
JJ might be the coolest dude on Earth
Def one of the cooler and most down to earth guy in the series. I ❤️ JJ
Update: played at Diente de perro and when I pulled up to the cart barn I asked for Someome who spoke English and out come JJ!!! He was great on the course. first time erik wasn't star of the show. Go JJ!
The editing and skill in all these videos are immense. Defo should be on netflix 30 mins eps. Would most definitely watch
I was just about to ask if there was a way to find extended editions of these. I could watch all day!
jojosaute Exactly, so would I. I suppose if you’re a golfer you would enjoy and appreciate it more. But even if you’re not it’s still just as interesting
damn that's a great shout...I'd definitely watch this!
100% agree. Love the music edit for the Tee Off th-cam.com/video/m71hbYlT0DA/w-d-xo.html
JJ is such a character!
JJ, what a legendary caddie
Waddacaddie!
jojosaute good comment Playa. Waddacomment
Seriously this is like a caddie from a book where you think, c'mon that's not believable at all. But he is real!
I’ve been two Dominican Republic twice and the place is full of great people like JJ
Makes it difficult to leave without immense sadness

I've visited the Dominican Republic a number of times and you meet lot's of stars like JJ, they don't have a lot but boy are they happy!
Ppl like JJ are treasures. I met a caddie who used to work since 1958 on the same course in Egypt till this moment. A great personality with immense experience in golf and in life. God bless them all.
We need more stories like JJs. How amazing is that!
I'll be playing this course and the Dye Fore course in November. Can't wait!

Eric easily has the best job in the Industry! So immensely Jealous of his job!

Best episode yet I think. What an Incredible place!
This course is near the top of my list. Drooling at some of the views and the possible camera backdrops I could get playing there.
What a place!!! Awesome video as usually. Mis respetos al señor Juan.

such a good series guys ceep on doing, at some point it will get a lot of fans.
Better than any golf show on the golf channel!!
My favorite episode so far! Keep it going Erik!
I’m so hooked on this series! Flat out amazing! Also, EAL wears a black bay GMT… that makes him the coolest cat in the alley IMO of course..
Maybe your best video yet.
Been really curious about the Dominican lately. Such an awesome location. Curious history. Incredible destination.
My dad took me here in 1987 and his biz partner, Bill Little, hit a hole in one on number 5 our first round! The caddies went wild - and got an extra tip for telling him where to hit the ball.
This was my favorite episode yet.
I would love these to be longer episodes!
That up-and-down was fuego.
Wow, that opening shot, i was walking in that same spot in march lol. Had pizza in the cafe in the background.
I remember planes landing on the fairway too! Great video - I didn't know how good I had it back then.
I’d sit down and have a beer with JJ. What a cool dude. The fucking balls to tell a president he had a bad putt.
That, and you can tell he’s worked hard to get to where he’s at. Incredible.
Awesome video as always, JJ seems to be quite the man.
I went there last spring I knew it right from the thumb nail. Great resort and amazing golf course
I'd like to go and I live fairly close in Florida, anything you wish you knew before?
Solid Tank yes, be ready to shell out a lot of money. Every where you go I’d expensive and to play the teeth of the dog could be over 1000 dollars for 4 player plus the required caddie fee and tip

Dope! Appreciate your work! Awesome golf courses. #PorterSalute
Unbelievable! Great show and awesome episode! Can you make longer episode?
I've heard so much about Teeth of the Dog, but I've never been able to play there. Maybe one day!
Another great episode
JJ Might be the best and most experienced Caddy all over the world.
Such a character
Best. Caddie. Ever.
I gave my caddy $50 when I got the 200 yard Ace at Greenwood Thailand, She is my hero 😛😛 Caddy no 16 🤩😘
When is Adventures in Golf going to get a Netflix or golf channel show???
We all need a JJ in our lives
Tudor Black Bay GMT! Nice!
Get a hold of Ben Clymer from Hodinkee.
Would've been nice to see more of the course!!!
Great times great times!
Speaking from personal experience jj is a awesome caddie i was lucky enough to request him when I went and played the teeth of the dog
great video!
You gotta play Pine Valley. Absolutely incredible course
Gets to build a golf course anywhere but chooses to build it with the airstrip in the middle. Lol
Recently found your videos and have really enjoyed all of them so far. Curious if anyone knows the relevance behind his tattoo that says “I love you keep going”? I feel like it’s a good story.
The pga needs Dominican golfers
Great story behind the name

Underrated AF🔥
Would love to buy JJ a beer.
Erik would be a clutch anchor putter in a scramble tourny
This might be the first time where the drone shutter speed looks off in one of these films. Maybe it's just me
Wow!
Forgot about the only hole in one on your show? Weird.
E-Skate Victoria that hole-in-one is on Erik’s personal TH-cam Channel.
On Skratch’s “Adventures in Golf” they haven’t recorded one yet.
What episode is the last clip from the intro where he hits it out of the water ?
I want to travel there just to have JJ as a caddy for a round.
JJ should be your caddie all the time.
Erik, please go to Fisher's Island
Imagine all the famous actors and people that JJ has caddied for when he only mentions 3 of the most powerful people in the history of the world as ones who stuck out to him 😅
@1:29 Erik - what brand is that shirt 😱
I’ve stayed and played at Casa de Campo. You have to go.
