Glows Dementia Thank you! Over time I've learned that cooking too long takes out a lot of water and lessens the fluidity. I am finally not over cooking so much. The sodium lactate makes a big difference too!
Thank you! I loved making this one. Yes, it was done by the time it looked like mashed potatoes, and I don't show when I test my HP. Even if it weren't 100% saponified, as it set up, it would get there. It took me a long time, and a LOT of overcooked bits in my soap, to realize that it was done much sooner than I thought it was.
@@micasandmore thank you so much, no worries, that is my problem, I don’t seem to get to know the point of when it is done, perhaps at times it is already and I continue to cook it. But I guess it is best to wait a little more after the mash potatoe stage, just little and done.
I'm sorry I missed this so long ago, and I'm not certain what the exact recipe was. However, it was likely about half lard, some coconut, some olive pomace oil, and cocoa and shea butter, or possibly mango as well. I use full water, and 5% sodium lactate.
Stephanie, can you help me please. I have been trying to sign up for your micas and more group with no success. I get the message that an email is being to my email but I do not receive it, nor is it in my spam folder. am I doing something wrong?
Hi Terry, if you are on Facebook, you can ask to join the group Steph's Micas and More. If you've already sent in a request, check your message requests. I will send people a message if I don't see soapy stuff. As far as signing up, you don't need to in order to shop. Signing in only lets you keep track of your orders. Please let me know if you have any questions. You can also email me at micasandmore@gmail.com. The group buys are only once a month, so other times that you tried it may not have been open.
Thank you very much. I am rather new to soaping and being a senior I am not real good with social media. My daughter-in-law is going to help me. Thanks again, Terry

I love this video your batter is so fluid, but at the mashed potatoe stage is it done? because I did not see the part where it is tested?

How long does it take for your soaps to cook? I would love for my soaps to be that fluid so I can use my hanger swirl.
Hi there, could you share the formula with us ? :)

+Terry B If email is easier, you can try that. Also, I completely understand! It's all things I've had to learn myself.
