Both have testified in the dayslong, high-profile trial. A friend of mine was rear-ended by a car going 120 km/hr and even her injuries aren't as severe as what Terry Sanderson describes.

All injuries are different. He's describing a neurological injury due to a concussion. His brain hasn't been the same since the accident according to him. You can be in a bad car accident and break every limb but sustain no brain damage. So it's just hard to know...

I think Paltrow is telling the truth. She wants the win on principle not the money. That guy's story seems weird, the fb post. Id find out if he does any drugs or had any other accidents to cause his issues, if they're real. Or maybe he's always had those issues? Talk to that ex girlfriend. His perspective seems very transactional in how he talked about a few things.
Why wasn't Paltrow hurt if they hit so hard? Like a car accident, being relaxed is better, it's when you stiffen up that it's a problem. You brace when you see it coming. Did he hit her from behind and she fell on him? This is all I've seen of it. But it sounds like this guy is making stuff up. I don't believe him for a second.
He's very dramatic about the story. His saying he was famous rather than hurt.
How he phrased his girlfriend not believing him, "she didn't buy into this. She didn't buy into me." " She's with Bill now... Better than I would've bought..." Very transactional verbage. Very one sided. Very demanding, my way or the highway. Sounds like he used the situation as a discard.

I bet they were both careless in some way - Gwyneth would’ve settled if she felt entirely at fault. It’s pocket change to her, so this is likely on principle. Also, every word out of the plaintiff’s mouth sounds/seems like a lie.
Why would he ski right behind her? Obviously the guy was following her and when she slowed down he ploughed right into her. That's on him, 100%. Give room to those in front.

What’s odd is if this man sustained brain damage, or had altered behavior from this accident, why is he even a credible witness? How can he remember details accurately?
It makes perfect sense that if a child calls out to his mom to “look at me!”, a mother would stop and watch. So I think she was either stopped or moving slowly so she could pay attention, and this guy just plowed into her from behind. I would have screamed too.

It also depends on where your head injury is located.
Some people die from concussions.
Some people have lasting traumatic brain injuries effecting their speech or memory or causing chronic pain, seizures, etc.
Some people heal slowly and then they're fine.
Some people have multiple concussions yet have no noticeable brain damage whatsoever.
Head injuries are nothing to take lightly.
Even if everything he said about his head injury is true, he could still be completely responsible for the collision. His injury wasn't on trial, it's the question of who held responsibility for the collision. It might or might not have been an accident, but nevertheless, he sued, so he has to live with the outcome the court decided on.
I snowboard every year and have for 20 years… tbh the guy seems at fault for the wreck and I’m not a Paltrow fan. Seems like he was skiing at a high rate of speed, possibly lost control and slammed into Paltrow, went flying and broke ribs. I’ve seen it happen many times.
Now it is GP’s fault that he broke up with his girlfriend? Is he bitter because the girlfriend found a better boyfriend? I didn’t care for his “crippled vet” comparison comment.

I don’t think 4 broken ribs and a concussion is worth 300 K … my husband had a similar collision snowboarding and broke his wrist and 3 ribs… he’s a baseball pitcher so breaking his wrist was devastating to him…he would never have thought it was appropriate or the right thing to sue the kid who slammed into him…

The Kristen lawyer for the Plaintiff is annoying, like all his other lawyers. Her asking G.P. to reenact the collision with her was stupid, then making compliments to her about her G.Ps height, etc. was stupid. Terry Sanderson is getting old. He maybe losing some deficits, but that is due to age, not from a ski collision. For one of his witnesses to say that Terry’s life changed after the collision, like not being able to spend time with his family, wine tasting, etc, He posted tons of pictures with his family, vacations, etc. on Facebook. What a liar!

I think this is actually a very interesting case, one of them is clearly lying. You can’t mix up running into someone vs getting run into. Whether or not she was famous I’d be pretty interested to see how this goes .
