I don't do debates, or watch debates often, if I know a person(ex: my older brother) I'll go into some debate about different topics because he is calm and collected and is able to provide valid reasoning to things, he also has taught me many things and we have both been able to have the other see things in a different light and change the others belief/opinion on some things. Debates can be quite fun and enlightening when doing it with people who you know you can speak with without them getting so offended on a certain thing you say that they focus on that and completely stop listening to your pov. It’s not exactly normal now is it? If you look back at debates back in the 60’s and earlier with presidential contenders they’re really polite with their criticisms; as for nowadays, it’s changed a whole lot.
The only issue I have is how many cuts there are to the video. Rewatch it and see how many times his face had a drastic unnatural movement. It makes me feel like they cut different parts of his conversation in there.

The LGBT community is a very sensitive and butt-hurt community. This is coming from a member of the community. I know that my beliefs are different from some other people though. Intersex is the polite way of saying someone is exhibiting predominant traits from one sex, but has a defect in their genes or gene expression that then included secondary traits from the other sex. Regardless, you can still determine the sex of the person between male and female being the only categories.

The clip is very short. We didn't actually get to see if he could put together a competent response. For someone seeing this guy critically, you will definitely jump to conclusions that he just had nothing to say, but we really dont know unless we've seen the rest of the video. There arent two genders. Intersex people have a variety of different variations from visibley appearing female at birth but having XY chromosomes, or females who starting maturing into XY and have male parts, but theyre XX. In the same way god made humans in a variety or shades, shapes, parts and genes individuals can absolutely be transgendered, having their brains develop differently than the gender their bodies developed into. I personaly do believe its techinically a mutation, but so are blue eyes. Gay people also occur naturally in almost every species and since we dont know what animals think we cant really say if transgendered animals (just animals who believe their are the gender they arent) exist. A transgender individual will never be the gender they wish to be anymore than a person born paralyzed wishes to walk, but it doesnt change the REAL validity of transgender individuals, they arent just the gender they were assignmed nor the gender they identify as, but as a human a transgender human. Its far more complicated than just "their are two genders" its so ignorant.

The whole point in a debate is to take in what others say and Allow for change in your belief if facts are accurate. When discussion and debate become anything other than education and learning then it's lost its entire purpose. Nowadays it's about proving your point or even worse proving the other person wrong. People want to win, to feel correct and justified, they don't care about educating the other person and instead of inviting their opinion in to discuss it, take any lack of formulated opinion as a victory. At some point people started thinking that debate and discussion are about being right or winning. Probably because most of our debates these days have an end goal. To elect someone, to fight for someone's rights, etc. People have forgotten that the purpose of debate was to educate and bring people to an understanding, even if that was to ultimately reach a goal. Nowadays it's all about winning and if you don't agree with what I think is common sense then you're not worth having on my side. People who "debate" or argue nowadays are so interested in being right that they forget to teach people what they're even debating about to further their cause, ending with hurting it in the long run cause of course people don't give a shit what you think if you're just an asshole to everyone lol.

This is the most calm, collected, respectful, and polite conversation regarding gender and sexual identity I've seen on the internet in quite a fucking long time. The protestor stood and just admitted they came under the assumption that it was akin to a hate rally. They had the integrity and character to analyze their own view and understand they went there with prejudices. The dude on stage never raised their voice or mocked the protestor, merely asked a question and had the respect not to laugh or belittle them when they were unable to answer. I applaud both these people.

A lot of it has to do with youth in general. You see mostly the people who are defensive and offended, whether trans, cis, straight, right wing, left wing, its usually younger college age people. Level heads are seemingly rare, but they're there, they just might not be as outspoken.
There are plenty of level headed trans people, and very few of the unhinged crazies. Guess which get waaaaaaaay more media attention and social media attention.
I commend this person for being open minded and willing to not only respectfully listening but participating in a Q&A. There was no yelling, obscene behavior etc. This was a great conversation. Why can't we be more civilized and have more calm interactions. More could be accomplished.
The reason there are not more civilized conversations is because people have become less, well civilized. When people have been fed the same rhetoric their entire life and their entire lives is based in that rhetoric, when that is challenged they take it as a personal attack and the natural response when you feel attacked is to defend/retaliate which is based in aggression, so people always get aggressive whenever the rhetoric of the agenda they align with is challenged..

Gender, while it can have its variances of subjectivity involved are still tied and a expression of the two sexes. He went there to silence someone based on what other people "told" him was fact, and instead of sitting in the crowd and just waiting for his chance to speak, he LISTENED. After realizing the man on stage was saying truthful, meaningful things he was open minded enough to actually agree despite the almost certain implications he'd face from his own community. That takes maturity and, most of all, guts. Kudos to man in the crowd for not simply agreeing with the hivemind outta convenience and the need to belong. It's just sad that occurrences such as these are so few and far between nowadays.

In more resent years I have come to understand that there is at least as much, maybe more, of this "meeting of the minds" interaction between sentient human beings! The difference in my view is that it is just not promoted as much in the mainstream broadcasting world. I have never been more impressed with those among todays youth that are doing just this. We just have to look for them and help demonstrate them to the world via the "net" what it is they are saying and how they are saying it..

There arent two genders. Intersex people have a variety of different variations from visibley appearing female at birth but having XY chromosomes, or females who starting maturing into XY and have male parts, but theyre XX. In the same way god made humans in a variety or shades, shapes, parts and genes individuals can absolutely be transgendered, having their brains develop differently than the gender their bodies developed into. I personaly do believe its techinically a mutation, but so are blue eyes. Gay people also occur naturally in almost every species and since we dont know what animals think we cant really say if transgendered animals (just animals who believe their are the gender they arent) exist. A transgender individual will never be the gender they wish to be anymore than a person born paralyzed wishes to walk, but it doesnt change the REAL validity of transgender individuals, they arent just the gender they were assignmed nor the gender they identify as, but as a human a transgender human.

Im actually very proud of this person, he showed remarkable maturity in talking about something he disagrees with, which is so uncommon these days, I think he definitely has more to learn, but the maturity he demonstrated is truly what it means to be your own person, you don’t have to change your looks, pronouns, or clothes to be who you are, your personality is enough. Depends on how developed each set of genitals are. I've never heard of an example where a person could both impregnate a woman and have a baby themself. If such a person existed, again, he/she would be an example of the two sexes combined. Not a new sex.

This is what I love about real debates, the person asking questions is genuinely trying to understand and that rarely happens anymore.
The whole point in a debate is to take in what others say and Allow for change in your belief if facts are accurate. You can’t just yell my side my side I don’t care what YOU THINK OR IF YOU HAVE FACTS IM RIGHT no your not right and I’m not right let’s debate find a gowned and both met in the middle. But if I have facts and you have Beliefs I’m right because facts are facts and beliefs are just beliefs with no Solid foundation
We need debate class to be a thing in high school nowdays
When discussion and debate become anything other than education and learning then it's lost its entire purpose. Nowadays it's about proving your point or even worse proving the other person wrong. People want to win, to feel correct and justified, they don't care about educating the other person and instead of inviting their opinion in to discuss it, take any lack of formulated opinion as a victory.
At some point people started thinking that debate and discussion are about being right or winning. Probably because most of our debates these days have an end goal. To elect someone, to fight for someone's rights, etc. People have forgotten that the purpose of debate was to educate and bring people to an understanding, even if that was to ultimately reach a goal. Nowadays it's all about winning and if you don't agree with what I think is common sense then you're not worth having on my side. People who "debate" or argue nowadays are so interested in being right that they forget to teach people what they're even debating about to further their cause, ending with hurting it in the long run cause of course people don't give a shit what you think if you're just an asshole to everyone lol.

Wow that young man speaks very well for himself. He keeps a cool and level head throughout, makes an intelligent argument without losing his cool or interrupting. He respectively disagrees, asks a question and then actually listens for the answer. This is the most calm, collected, respectful, and polite conversation regarding gender and sexual identity I've seen on the internet in quite a fucking long time.
The protestor stood and just admitted they came under the assumption that it was akin to a hate rally. They had the integrity and character to analyze their own view and understand they went there with prejudices.
The dude on stage never raised their voice or mocked the protestor, merely asked a question and had the respect not to laugh or belittle them when they were unable to answer.
I applaud both these people.

The trans community needs more level heads like this. Just being offended and defensive all the time isn't productive.
A lot of it has to do with youth in general. You see mostly the people who are defensive and offended, whether trans, cis, straight, right wing, left wing, its usually younger college age people. Level heads are seemingly rare, but they're there, they just might not be as outspoken.
The fictitious trans community needs only to stop pretending it exists.

I commend this person for being open minded and willing to not only respectfully listening but participating in a Q&A. There was no yelling, obscene behavior etc. This was a great conversation. Why can't we be more civilized and have more calm interactions. More could be accomplished.

When people have been fed the same rhetoric their entire life and their entire lives is based in that rhetoric, when that is challenged they take it as a personal attack and the natural response when you feel attacked is to defend/retaliate which is based in aggression, so people always get aggressive whenever the rhetoric of the agenda they align with is challenged..

Gender, while it can have its variances of subjectivity involved are still tied and a expression of the two sexes. He went there to silence someone based on what other people "told" him was fact, and instead of sitting in the crowd and just waiting for his chance to speak, he LISTENED. After realizing the man on stage was saying truthful, meaningful things he was open minded enough to actually agree despite the almost certain implications he'd face from his own community. That takes maturity and, most of all, guts. Kudos to man in the crowd for not simply agreeing with the hivemind outta convenience and the need to belong. It's just sad that occurrences such as these are so few and far between nowadays.

Very well said my friend. I hail from a time where this sort of discourse was more abundant. At least that's what I use to understand. In more resent years I have come to understand that there is at least as much, maybe more, of this "meeting of the minds" interaction between sentient human beings! The difference in my view is that it is just not promoted as much in the mainstream broadcasting world. I have never been more impressed with those among todays youth that are doing just this. We just have to look for them and help demonstrate them to the world via the "net" what it is they are saying and how they are saying it..
