    Very much appreciated the relaxed pace and way of speaking in this video in contrast to how most influencers act nowadays. Sharges naming convention baffles me, and how they make it difficult to fully understand the differences between their product lineup. I have been looking for a comparison between these two units so thanks for the video!

      Thanks for taking the time to write that, and I agree on the naming strategy of Sharge. They seem to making things more confusing than useful haha. Cheers again! Ese

    I think this company fooled alot of people with these chargers . Many people are complaining about it failing , receiving dead units that wont charge . Ill stick with anker.

    The adjustable DC output is the only feature worth the price point of these batteries. I'm shocked no one makes a big deal out of that. I use that port just as much as I use the USB ports.

      You know what? That is a really good point. I think I overlooked this as I didn't find this a useful aspect of the storm 2 personally but I should've included this point of difference, I can definitely see how useful it could be in certain situations! Thanks for making that point, Ese.

      I can see that. I suppose for most, usbc bridged all the gaps. But for a engineer or the ham radio type, that adjustable power allows you do do things that required a bench supply. So nice for portable troubleshooting. I wish it had constant current mode, but I try not to t to be too greedy.

      I have the Storm 2 and never use the DC output. What do you usually plug into it?

      Omnicharge 20 & 40 have that as well and it is a big plus

      I like that feature as well but Amazon sells a $15 ubc c cable to dc that does the same thing. I've used it on an anker 737 to power my projector outdoors as well as some party lights multiple times with no issues at all

      Thanks for watching and appreciate the positive feedback, I had to grab it off Kickstarter, I think the Sharge/Shargeek website i(nternational one) has them on sale at the moment, but the shipping is a little high as it's from overseas. The local seller here didn't have them or show any sign of getting them so I thought it best to get it directly from the source. :) Hope that helps, Ese

    Hey there, i liked the video, i prefer your calm way of speaking over the "loud" youtubers any day! But it feels like it's a bit short to be an in depth review, i'm missing the cold specs like what kind of fast charging do they provide, how do they split up power when multiple devices are charged, can you charge the bank with a device connected and does that change the charging rate of the device? Maybe it's because you've assumed we'd know that already or you forgot because you personally already got that information from other reviews of the powerbank.
    Other than the missing information (for me), I liked your approach of making those reviews, it was informative and detailed, perfect for someone who has read about the device, but looked for more information that will not be on their website.
    Have a good day!

    Does the 170 allow you to view the wattage output on each port when lets say we are charging my phone and my laptop like the storm 2?

    • @mrtwomore
      @mrtwomore  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question the Storm 2 has the ability to show individual and total wattage of the ports. Meanwhile the 170 only shows a total and I can’t see a way to seperate the values of each port.

    Shargeek 170 power bank has burned out and is not charging. The inner coating has melted. I just charge iPhone. The support team ignored my messages.

    In pass-through charging mode, if the input power source is removed, does the output cut out or renegotiate? How about when input power is connected again? I'm wondering if this would be suitable for an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) scenario for a mini PC.

    • @mrtwomore
      @mrtwomore  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Kevin, that’s a good question I’ll play around with it today and let you know. I have used it in a UPS style format which is quite useful for my video camera but as the battery was full on the camera battery I’m unsure if it actually maintained a constrain charge or briefly disconnected and then reestablished connection.
      So I’ll try it this evening with a light source that has no internal battery and see if it has a drop-off/disconnection between me removing the power source and the battery taken over on the power bank.

    • @mrtwomore
      @mrtwomore  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Okay after my rudimentary testing with a video light and also following up it up with testing my phone charging on it. I can confirm that if you remove the power input from the powerbank it WILL drop the charging on the output for about a second and then rehandshake it seems. So as a UPS I don't think that this is the option you want. Thanks Ese

    I dont think the 170 powerback was anywhere close to that expensive. Off kickstarter I got 2 of them for about $228. Not sure where $400 came from.

    • @mrtwomore
      @mrtwomore  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I should have clarified that this is in NZD not USD and with shipping it was closer to 360 for the storm 2 and the 170 with the exchange rate and shipping was close to the same but your right maybe a bit cheaper. You got a steal if you got two for $228 NZD but I’m guessing it might’ve been USD. Apologies for any miscommunication and I hope you like your power banks as much as I do. Cheers Ese

    • @SourStrawberrys
      @SourStrawberrys 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @mrtwomore Not it was due to it being on kickstarter so we got 43%. But at the time I got it that was the only way to buy it. It wasn't available on the site yet nor in stores here. But on the website now it is one said for 169 USD for one.

    • @SourStrawberrys
