- Today on Buckle Up, Jasper reviews Dacia's excellent offering in the supermini-crossover segment - the phenomenally good value Sandero Stepway! See why this is the case in the video.
The Sandero Stepway sits in a competitive segment, butting up against cars such as the MG3, Honda Jazz, Toyota Yaris, Renault Clio, Hyundai i20, Kia Rio, Citroen C3, Vauxhall Corsa and Peugeot 208.

Buckle Up is a channel that is only interested in one thing - cars!
We upload a myriad of different content including car review videos, car challenge videos, car news videos and much, much more!
Our videos are made in a similar style to that of Top Gear, Fifth Gear, Car Throttle, Doug DeMuro, carwow, Carfection, The Grand Tour, MotorTrend and many more.
We would all thoroughly recommend their channels, so why not go and check them out.
It looks good, it is reliable, it is affordable, its spacious. I bought a stepway auto for a family member - ticks the boxes better than any other car on the market.
You're right, it's an excellent all round car at such a good price point!
@@googler38 Is low cost,cheap,bad,cowardly,MANY fault
manufactuted.Toyota Yaris good.
Backdrop off the VT shoot avoid having rubbish / litter in background. As presenter Jasper just be yourself you have good personality. No need to be too up. I like the channel. Keep up excellent work. Deserve success
Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately due to time constraints whilst filming it wasn't possible to find a completely clean backdrop 🙄
I like the car. I like that it hasn't got alloy wheels which are a nightmare to keep clean and corrosion free. And if you do hit the kerb a wheel cover is cheap to replace whereas an alloy is ruined. It also doesn't seem to have any chrome or stainless steel to tarnish or rust. A great car to park in your driveway without needing a garage to protect it. Ok it does look a little bit cheap inside but I prefer that to some cars full of shiny piano black which scratches easily and reflects light. At the price it's a winner. I wonder if it comes with a spare wheel or if one is available as an extra?
One is available as an option, as standard you get a tyre repair kit
New spare wheel and tyre balanced £110 on ebay
I think piano black always looks cheap on plastic parts. IG it's just a taste preference but imho the Sandero interior will look much nicer 5 to 10 years down the road compared to piano black plastics.
The only little moan I have about the sandero is the front door plastic. Not the plastic itself but the quality of the molding. There are sharp edges (from the molding seams) right in front of where the window sits so when you rest your arms on this plastic ledge you can feel the sharp plastic on your skin. It will probably wear in over time but other than that I think the interior is the most perfec compromise of durability, design and price out there. The new microcloth or however it's calles looks and feels so great. Especially on the dashboard it just looks and fells like leather.
I wouldn’t normally go near a European car, let alone a new one. However, for someone who does a lot of miles, a real selling point for me is the bi-fuel option; very interesting to have an LPG tank offered in a new (and budget) car!
Bi-fuel is more common than you might think, just depends on the market. Very big in the Latin American market
Thank you so much for posting. Really useful
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
Love the sound of rain on the car!
Should we do an asmr video of it?
@BuckleUpShow YES!
Got to say you're wrong about the glovebox. It's tiny in RHD cars, that fusebox takes up far too much room.
It could be so much better, but they have at least made it rather deep and remembered to make a slot for the manual so you end up with more usable space than some companies who put in a full width one with a copy of war and peace in there
Yeah here on the mainland I have a roll of kitchen towel where you would have your fuses.
We're incredibly jealous!
I saw one with the wheel trims missing and it looked weird, now I understand why!
Thanks for watching!
Hello! I wonder would you rather buy this sandero stepway than a suzuki ignis if, let's say, the price would be the same for both?
If you want interior space, go for the Sandero ☺️
This car is probably the only car that the working class man can afford brand new. The value is brilliant with all the features and capability it has, light years away from the old bangers I remember driving in the 80's.
You can actually get a Kia Picanto for less than one of these
Yes but pikanto is much smaller than this!
Thinking of swapping my y 7year old Juke for one of these as it is at 83000 miles and i do 18000 miles pa
It'll do the mileage for you, and will probably be comparable noise wise to the older Juke. I'd go and test drive one to see what you think ☺️
@@BuckleUpShow I did, very nice car and surprised how good the new 1.0 turbo petrol is, however, getting another Juke as found one for £4k less than the Dacia with under 1000 miles on it.
Good news
Anyway....
The car has better style than jasper !😂😂
Shots fired
Style is subjective 😂
@@BuckleUpShow Trouser length isn't though............... Looks like you've had them since you were 14 sorry
i like this car
So do I!
but unfortunately this car does not enter the market of my country. i used to drive this car in Istanbul and i like it so much
Can u tell me which model has the Auto gear , thanks in advance
You can get the CVT on the expression or extreme trim, though we would recommend the manual
I have the cvt extreme and its great
I have a 21plate prestige cvt 6k on the clock. All ok so far and loving it
Did his mum dress him for school? A good school outfitters in Green Rd, Meanwood, Leeds
Jasper is a big boy now and can dress himself.
Lattie on wheels colour vada dirty dishes 😝
We quite like the wheels

The plastic is much nicer than Renault's had even just ten years ago
Cant stand him
Then sit him
This car got a two star rating on its safety on NCAP. Complete trash for a new vehicle .
That's through a lack of (expensive and complex) active safety systems to help you avoid the accident. In the event of you getting into a collision, the car will actually protect you just fine 😊
Great display of ignorance here. It shows how much you know about the NCAP tests: nothing.
We’ve read the report, the car will protect you just fine, as we said above.
@@BuckleUpShow I'm sorry, I meant the original comment(er)!
Yeah sure it only has the basics. And yes you actually have to have your hands on the steering wheel and bloody hell you even have to do an over the shoulder look in the essential trim (and maybe expression, I'm not too sure) but to be honest I'm so glad that one can still get a new car these days that does not have a ridiculous amount of technology (which yeah is nice to have but is absolutely not essential)
These are just my thoughts
