I am expecting delivery of my new HRV Advance Style any time now. You are the first reviewer out of many I have watched that does not drone on about the engine noise and the size of the boot ! Your review reflects my impressions of the car after two extended test drives. Thank you👍
you feel the engine noise .... because it has a 90% combustion engine you don't even feel it, just brilliant !! in any car other than fully electric cars you will feel the engine when accelerating
I have had mine for a month now and I can say that the engine sound is not that loud ! The boot has loads of room too . The rear seats fold flat, no annoying hump. 'Magic' seats add to the flexibility. Totally silent on the electric drive and changes seamlessly to combined or engine only. I also like the decent control when using cruise, it won't go overspeed when you go down hill and it also helps with power regeneration. So far I can honestly say it is all I expected and a bit more ! The only criticism I would make is that there is no power point in the boot area, so you have to trail a lead to the front if you ever carry a small fridge etc. Final comment, I love this car !!
Much appreciated for review i've watched a good few and you've helped me make my made mind up which vehicle to get, keep doing what your doing brother absolutely spot on and thorough, and not babbling on for the sake of it. Thanks again . Stay Blessed 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much, though we do have a couple of questions. 1) is MKB Marques Brownlee? 2) What exactly is an Olympic style throw down, is it a sort of diving competition?

14:40 There is no speed limit to when the car goes on battery alone. It can at motorway speed switch to battery if it feels for it, but mostly it will bee around town. The range of the battery is about 2 km if you don't exceeds the maximum output of the battery, then the engine will start. The main point is to keep the most optimal load on the gasoline engine. Been driving this for about two years.
You are correct, however in most normal driving circumstances the power output in EV mode is exceeded by around 40 mph. We hope you've enjoyed your HR-V over the time you've had it?
Nice review! So the ICE only drives the wheel at high speed (motorway speed). Does this mean at lower speed the engine only drives the generator to produce electricity for the electric motor to drive the wheels?
Thanks for this review. Currently have a 2017 diesel HRV and love it, but the reviews of the new shape model put me off, including yes the boot size. During the week I mostly do around town low speed journeys with my dogs (magic seats up!) and weekend I do motorway journeys that are quite a distance, so I think it could be more economical than a Niro?
Thank you for the very informative review. I was considering to get one of this. But your review on the rear window really help me to think it over. I'd prefer to have a wide window.
lookslike your i one of the higher trims unfortunately only the elegance was available on the Motability lease scheme so i hope it will be as good as your review suggests
Cannot quite remember the trim level that this was, but throughout the range the HR-V offers some excellent kit and a great interior, so even if you can only get the Elegance, you still get loads of good kit as standard including the infotainment screen, heated seats, the ADAS systems, parking sensors and heated front seats!
@@BuckleUpShow thanks ive actually decided to go for the ZRV now as the sport trim was available fora good price on my lease scheme and that's got a way better trim level than the hrv elegance plus its 2 ltr 181 bhp
I love Honda, But this colour looks like "Hearing aid Beige" reminds me of the Top Gear Fiat Multipla skit 😂 I will be getting one, just in a different colour way
The engine's maximum power output is around 109 bhp, but for brief periods the electric motor can output a maximum of around 129 bhp. This is obviously not sustainable max output for long periods due to the small battery pack and rate at which the engine can therefore recharge it, with the maximum engine output being lower than the maximum EV motor power.
At least he is honest that he is a short person. The vehicle is sized for Asians. If you are short it might work for you, but at six feet I could not get my head through the door. The seat cannot be lowered to permit access for a taller person.
The car does have a somewhat compressed cabin, as the floor is raised but the roof isn't raised to match. It is almost like a squashed hatchback that's been jacked up.

Review was spot on as i'm getting the same vehicle as he answered all my thoughts a concerns about the HRV💯👌

Thank you very much, glad the video was helpful! Enjoy your next car 😁
Good review, Nice to see a reviewer understand how the eCVT works.
Yeah, Honda have done themselves a bit of a disservice by calling it a CVT, because a lot of people see CVT and thing "ah I know how that works"
Excellent review. Informative. Clear. Good presentation. Hope this channel does well 👍
Excellent comment. Positive. Engaging. To the point. Hope you have a great day ☺️
Thank you for your straight forward review; very clear, concise and touching alla important points….
No problem, thanks for watching!
Very good reviewer and review. Reminds me Matt Watson from CarWow in his early days .. Keep up the good job!👍
Thank you for the feedback, we'll take it on board! 😅
My wife just bought one, enough power for a city run around.
Absolutely enough power to keep up with city traffic 😁
Im going to buy this in two months, thanks for your good review, I was not sure to choose between this and civic!
The civic is absolutely worth a look too! There is a review of the latest Civic available on the channel, if you'd like to watch that 😊
I have had 6 Civics and was so tempted to buy the new one, but as I am not as flexible as I was its a lot easier getting in and out of the HRV !
Top Tier Review. Would love to see Jasper and MKB in an Olympic style throw down.
Thank you so much, though we do have a couple of questions.
1) is MKB Marques Brownlee?
2) What exactly is an Olympic style throw down, is it a sort of diving competition?
Any possibility of making a comparison of hrv and yaris cross in depth and the hybrid system and battery capacity.
Thanks

A Niro Phev does not thrive on the motorway
Don’t know why this car hasn’t been on my radar until recently. A great all round package.
Honda are quite good at producing great products pretty quietly, but this is definitely a good one worth looking at 😅
Thank you for the very informative review. I was considering to get one of this. But your review on the rear window really help me to think it over. I'd prefer to have a wide window.
It's still a really good car - if you can test drive one, I'd do so!
Truly an exhaustive review. The only missing side; the car being an Hybrid is your not mentioning at all about FE in different driving cycles.
Well the beauty of Honda's e:HEV system is that fuel efficiency is broadly the same, irrespective of your journey type.
@@BuckleUpShow Fine. How much is it in any real driving that you could observe
It starts from £29,020 in the real world, very competitively priced against its PHEV rivals
@@BuckleUpShow Thanks about the prices. I was actually enquiring about your observed real world driving MPG values.
We saw around 48-52 mpg (imperial) with us quite frequently matting it during testing. So all in all, quite impressive.
You guys in Europe have the better HRV, wish they just sold this in Canada
That's a shame - interesting how different models are offered in different markets though!
Great review guys 😊
Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed!
sooo much better than us hrv!
This is a smaller car than your HR-V. We have the same model as your HR-V, except over here Honda called it the ZR-V for some reason!
yes, about the same cargo as a cx-30? How long is the hrv, trying to stay at or below low 170 s
Please, what is the name of this color in the catalog?
The color of the Honda hrv2022 is beautiful, luxurious, and very charming
Sand Khaki Pearl
I hope we get this in North America
It's a longshot, but anythings possible
Can you please tell me how many miles per tank Honda hrv can run?
No, but a HR-V forum probably can
Did you mention the rear windows don't go fully down?
I don’t know, did I?
I dont know if it Hybrid is reliable for long trips 2000+ Km rides ?!
Honda's are generally considered bulletproof, including the hybrids
Do this car have catalytic thrives favourite menu.? Can someone highlighted this one!?

Hi, could you recommend this car over Sportage kia please?
It's much smaller than a Sportage, more comparable to a Niro in size
@@BuckleUpShowin terms of quality, longevity, ect?
Thank you very much for a quick response
If you plan on keeping the car a long time get the Kia, it has a 7 year warranty
Didn’t speak of the reverse cameras is it 360
No, just a reverse camera.
I love Honda, But this colour looks like "Hearing aid Beige" reminds me of the Top Gear Fiat Multipla skit 😂

The colour of this one grew on me during the day I had the car - turns out in good lighting it's quite a nice green!
Can I get a English deck for the play

Thank you, we guess? Although the video really is about cars 😂

The stripes on the front are the same as Honda bikes
That's weird, we didn't know the HR-V was a Motorbike
