Was this the series in which a boy carved his name, Simon Brent, on two stones which later moved apart? The sense of them closing in around the house by night, if it was the same series, was pretty scary.
@dahliagreen5919. No, it's not the same story, but what you mentioned about the stones moving closer around the house is also similar to what happens in this story.
@@redblade8160 Having watched the final episode, I've seen that what I remember is from a different series. In it, the stones surrounded a small village and were gradually moving in closer at night. A boy tried to convince his friend by scratching his name on two adjacent stones, which had moved apart when seen later. I don't remember how it ended, but it was a case of stopping the stones or escaping before they closed in completely.
Terrifying 😮. This, Pertwee Doctor Who, Ace Of Wands, and Timeslip were big deals as a kid. Catweazle too. Fantastic TV.
80's was pretty gritty for kids shows too, remember Knights of God and the Tripods. Our WW2 comics were pretty based as well =)
The stuff marketed to kids back then would just never get made now sadly

@@dahliagreen5919 no it's not that one. But yours does sound intriguing, I've got to find it now
