Creepy Classic Kids TV #6 Picture Box (1966-1993) - and that creepy intro tune.
I've wanted to do this video series for a while now. Some of the strongest kids tv memories I have are from those that scared the hell of of me. There were so many good ones, and many which just wouldn't get made today.
Hopefully you'll join me on this journey through the TV series of the past, this time it's not the TV programme, just the intro music itself. I used to scream at the tv when this was on... did you ??

The Great Fire of Bulwell 12th July 1980, includes narration from Nottingham Evening Post.
มุมมอง 4162 หลายเดือนก่อน
I was recently asked to give a talk to a class at the Snape Wood Primary School about Richard Sankey & Son, it's history and development. I was going to use my original fire video as part of it, but decided to update it (plus "I Am The God of Hellfire" probably wasn't suitable for kiddies. I added the narration from that days report in the Nottingham Evening Post. I thought as I'd done the work...

F4 The Wild Witches and the Talisman (Chapters 11-15) by Sheila K McCullagh
มุมมอง 3625 หลายเดือนก่อน
Years after writing Tim and the Hidden People, Sheila McCullagh rewrote the first 4 series in the form of a novella (I suppose nowadays, they'd say "rebooted"). These were more wordy 128 pages long, but with less of the wonderful pictures we were used to, now just line drawings by Ray Mutimer She also wrote 4 additional novellas telling of Tim's further adventures with The Hidden People. Tim an...
Bulwell TV - Whatever Happened to Florrie Webster
มุมมอง 4575 หลายเดือนก่อน
Who is Florrie Webster?? A few years ago I came across a few photos and a phrenologists report about a young girl from Bulwell in 1897. I uploaded these to the Bulwell Photos Facebook Group, but last year decided to try and find out what happened to her afterwards. This is what I found (it's been a long time in the making). If you have any connection or information regarding Florrie Webster / W...

Nottingham Forgotten Heroes - The Collection
Arun is awesome and he is well level headed .
Anyone remember the wooden fort playground, I think someone burned it down in the early 90s
I look forward to Magic in the North and Burglars in the Yard, and those stories will be awesome to see on youtube.
Jessica was one awesome hero and she stood up the that horrid boy, Kevin when he came towards her and tried to steal her sausage rolls the nasty lad. Sebastian is an awesome cat and he is fun to, as well he been a strange one is awesome in billions of ways .
I say it is a shame these books are not in schools, and that children do not get to see and read them.
These stories are awesome and well superb, and I love to read them
What were the original two buildings either side of trinity church?
Hiya. If you're referring to the picture at 03:15, it's the Mechanics Institution and the Baptist Chapel, picture from 1840.
By far the best and most informative video on lost Nottingham buildings and with some great photos that I’ve never seen 👍
I do say these books are awesome in billions of ways and well written, and also the pictures are awesome too.
I do love these stories in billions of ways, and they are so awesome too,
The iron Men seem awesome
I love these stories they are awesome in billions of ways
These stories are certainly longer than the series A to D, and there is more in them too.
I would not mind been a Hidden Person, or even a strange one it would be fun.
These stories are well written, and the pictures are well awesome too and these books are one thing I would buy if they were not so expensive.
I would love to have the complete set of these books, given the chance and they are fun to read and I loved reading them in primary school.
I like the Hidden People in this and Jack does an awesome, jo of scaring off the man and his wife.
Tobias is awesome so is Captain Jory and Jack and also, Melinda these are good Hidden People who I would trust if they were real and if I was friends with him.
I think the fact the dogs at the fair, could see Tim and Tobias meant they were strange ones.
Wonderful .. being 80 now 2024 I remember Drury Hill..In the mid 60s i was interested in Photography after seeing the Movie Blow Up with David Hemmings .. I took a picture of Drury hill in the 60s just prior to emigrating to Australia .. and my brother in-law with his artistic skills did a pen drawing of it .. I still have it here in Australia .I need to get it to my sister (his wife) on the next trip to the uk.. thanks Paul .. many of the scenes we use to ride our Motor Bikes in the 60s ..also i remember as a kid say 13 on our bicycles me and my mate went to Bulwell Lido and my mate got beat-up ..so we soon scarpered ..thanks again .. from Queensland Australia..
These stories are well awesome in billions of ways.
It was a shame in billions of ways Jeremy and Nicola did not appear, in this series of books a real shame in billions of ways.
I read these books in junior school and how I miss, them but they are not easy to find sadly
These stories are well awesome in billions of ways.
The Hidden People and Strange Ones are awesome
These stories are well awesome and worth reading, time after time .
I love these stories in billions of ways
These stoires are well awesome in billions of ways.
Alan Tremaine is awesome in billions of ways.
These stories are well awesome
These stories are awesome in billions of ways and the pictures are awesome, too I like the work you have done in putting these stories on youtube Paul.
I like the way Tim in this series has got himself a pushbike, and having got to work for Mr Penny and earnt the money to but the bike he did a superb thing all round and Tim was right to not buy the old bike of that awful grotty lad Kevin it was good when Kevin and his awful brother Jim ended up in the canal and given the way the 2 Hidden People Jeremy and Nicola pushed them in the canal was awesome too and they deserved to be pushed in the canal .
The Hidden people are awesome and so are the strange ones I wish I had, friends like them both.
I like the cats Sebastian and his dad Tobias, they are cats I wish I had and they would be helpful in millions of ways to me.
I hope you can get to do series G and H
I remember it I loved it I was 9 years old in 1973 the witch scared me all the time shame they only made 9 episodes
The thiefs in the lorry are well evil
The Hidden People are awesome and I wish they were real, and I would like to have friends who are Hidden People.
Jeremy and Nicola are awesome and they do certainly sort out Kevin and Jim in the next story after this one.
I say Tim was right to decline anything from Kevin, and really in a way Tim should not have gone with Kevin. When Tim got his own bike, he was delighted and he was right to do things lawfully Kevin and his brother Jim were devious and nasty boys. I was sold a bike 31 years ago from a neighbour called Larry but he was legit and he had proof it was his bike I bought he bike from Larry for 15 pounds and it was an awesome bike until some thief nicked it and I never saw it again.
I do like the way Knocker is grumpy but he is fun too.
I like these stories in billions of ways,, and they are well done and the pictures are awesome too,
Arun is a smart lad and he is very trustworthy, unlike the dreaded kevin and his even older dreaded brother Jim who could never see the Hidden People at all when Jim and Kevin were pushed into the canal by the 2 Hidden People Jeremy and his sister Nicola it served those nasty boys right and they got what they deserved.
The woman wearing the long black skirt and black shawl, is not Melinda but she seems okay.
I love these stories in billions of ways, and the pictures are awesome in billions of ways too.
The little man in the cottage is well evil
Captain Jory is an awesome character in billions of ways, and he is one of the heroes in the Hidden People.
I like in series D how Arun gets to acquire the magic key. that Tim had in series A and B and also how Jessica and her brother Simon acquire magic coins to enable them to see the Hidden people.
How awesome these stories are in billions fo ways
The Highwayman is one nasty villain
