Dylan’s uncle is also the OL coach at Nebraska. I’d be absolutely blown away if he transferred again. He’s also enrolling early for the spring semester if I heard correctly
Huskers also got Daniel to stay and he was also at the Elite Eleven last year and also won the accuracy component. Much needed competition in the spring.
I think that’s partially the truth. However, we’re not used to having that caliber of a recruit so when it does happen, baby, local celebrity were in Georgia, although he may be like he wouldn’t be idolized like he will be here. But yes it is. Uncle did not go to Nebraska odds are he wouldn’t have signed
While we don't know what Nebraska can do with a freshman qb , we do know he's doing things on the field a lot of college qbs can't do and after his freshman year the sky is the limit for the Huskers considering the rest of the team will be improved also.
I'm hoping we didn't get a box full of crayons with Crayola. On paper it's a big win but year two is going to say a lot about what direction we are headed with Rhule. Very impressive to get Crayola, my bigger issue is that Satterfield is going to be his coach. I think Satterfield needs to go before next year or at least not be QB coach. We need someone who can actually develop Crayola and Satterfield is certainly not the man.
Turnovers are obviously a part of the game, and you can go back to the 1996 team when Scott Frost took over for Tommie Frazier to see just what they can cost even a great team in the end. But for Nebraska, I would say this turnover saga at the QB position dates back to Taylor Martinez. A guy who was insanely fast, and before his injuries, was extraordinarily dynamic, but my goodness that kid gave the ball to the other team like he was getting paid to do it. And yeah, while I am sure there have been bright spots since then, it's one of the biggest sore spots for this program since the upheaval at HC began.
I wouldn't count on Raiola for anything. He's on his third team already, & he has yet to take a snap of college ball. Dylan isn't committed to anyone but Dylan.
I don't think it is a coincidence that Matt Rhuel talks about how much money it takes to get a QB then a week later lands a big name QB. No disrespect to Joel Klatt or anyone else, but we are in the legit paying players era, no reason to act like we are recruiting the way we used to.
Number of factors, but a big one is that Previous coaching staff made Nebraska unappealing in spite of the love they have for the Huskers. They wanted to give Nebraska a shot but didn’t want to sacrifice his future with coaches that they didn’t trust to do the right things on and off the field. Rhule had to show he was in good hands.
bc nebraska hasnt been good in a while...and he probably thought he could play 3 years as a starter...but uga has such a good talent pool that he probably thought i could make a bigger difference in nebraska bc they desperately need a QB. Nebraska has a ways to go to get back to the best....but they made a huge stride last year. im a husker living in georgia... go big red---go dawgs
Joel as a buffs fan I'd like to know your thoughts on Jordan Seaton being given a National Platform by coach prime to commit to Colorado and two weeks later sign with Maryland. IMO this had to be embarrassing for Coach Prime but also to his Friends Michael Irvin and Rich Eisen who agreed to let him on air. It just seems wrong at this point to give this much power to a high schooler no matter the number of stars behind his name. Do see the NCAA regulating things like this?
Ncaa is one of the worst regulating bodies in the world. Why would you want them regulating it? Let the kids and adults do what they want stop trying to force them into a box. It's Primes fault he looks like a fool not the kid. Eventually people will learn, or they won't but either way it's on them not some rule making body with no actual power trying to tell them what to do.
It’s kinda funny how all these kids are getting paid now, which I agree with…but the college football video games don’t exist anymore and all those guys in those games never got didly lol
Raiola committed to OSU, then decommitted. Raiola committed to Georgia, moved to Georgia, was embraced by Georgia fans, then left Georgia, and wrote a corny poem. Good luck with this one Nebraska.
The poem was written by a fan. It's unfortunate so many grown adults feel the need to badmouth an eighteen-year-old because he decommitted. The Bulldogs are already set as they are. Nebraska needs him more than Georgia does.
Family ties aside, Dylan Raiola is now a 5 star quarterback on a 3 star team. If you've got 3 star WRs, 3 star RBs, and 3 star offensive line it's very hard for the quarterback to overcome a mediocre team around them. Best of luck to him going forward.
Nebraska has quite a few 4 star players on the team. Nebraska has had quite a bit of talent over the years, they just had a coaching staff who couldn’t develop players. After all the stuff that came out after Frost was fired though, it really isn’t surprising. This last year was the best we’ve looked in years outside of turnovers.
Mate look at the depth chart before you comment on the talent, Nebraska has been a top 25 recruiting class like 4 of the last 5 years. They have a plethora of 4 stars on both sides of the ball and have had good transfer talent. The receiver and running back room have like 7 or 8 four stars alone
I don’t fully disagree with the sentiments of what you are saying. The talent isn’t there to be elite or beat great teams consistently. But On paper Nebraska has recruited consistently in the top 25 for the past 6 seasons. According to industry standards year in and year out they have the 4 most talented team in the Big Ten. We have seen many teams take a big leap above their recruiting when they get a superlative QB talent (west Virginia in the first decade of the 2000’s come to mind) Don’t think he is piece that gets you a big ten title or playoff spot immediately, but he pushes the pile and I think if he plays like you hope they immediately could step into that top 5-7 of the new Big ten within a year or two. From there you add more pieces and you have a team that is a legit team
@@WeatherWondersWW Nebraska has only signed 7 four star players on offense for the last 3 recruiting classes combined, including this one (2024). And zero five stars, entirely, outside of Raiola. They have signed 25 three star players on offense in that same period. 3 star offense is pretty accurate. Nebraska is not a talented team.
