A massive thank you for a massive effort. Congratulations. The recorder community, I am sure, will be grateful for your dedication and commitment to the excellence of these sounds. I know I will personally benefit from your effort. Thank you!
This is very nice, and nice playing! I do wish that one of these erecorders or eflutes came with the ability to slide fingers on and off, rather than each key just being on or off. I use this all the time. To me the on/off keys make the sound feel a bit synthetic and fake (especially for slower melodies)
Thanks Jonas! The ecorder tone holes are touch sensitive, and I seem to recall there was a mode that could deal with shading/flattement using the built-in synthesizer. However, MIDI, used here to connect to The Recorder sample library, is based on integer notes so I'm not sure how Michael implemented it in the MIDI output if he even did at all. There is no fixed standard for conveying adjustable pitch in MIDI so it's generally a compromise we must make as developers. Ultimately our goal is "reasonable realism", not to replace the real thing but to advocate for it. Any further is a fool's errand, as it's always cheaper, better, and easier to hire a real musician with a real instrument if you want something perfectly realistic. However, if you're writing a piece for recorder as a non-player or non-professional player, you'd rather have an accurate reference like this than something that sounds like a synthesizer from the 80's.
Nice! Been waiting for a good Kontakt recorder to play that wonderful melody from Echoes pt 2 by Richard Wright. Originally on Farfisa Compact Duo, but an actual acoustic instrument instead of a cheesy transistor organ sound would definitely be better.
Thank you Emily for your wonderful showcasing of this instrument.

This sounds terrific, Emily.
Wonderful! Those articulations are a million times better than what I've heard from ordinary sampled winds.

By the way, you can learn more about the ecorder on their website (we are not affiliated): www.ecorder.io/
There's a new eCorder version out now even since this video, and it has even better touch sensors, so you can do pitch bends and finger vibrato.
