I do appreciate the new skin tones and also the fact that the accessories like the fireplaces, chairs and sofas can easily be added to the existing modular sets or to new MOCS.
If anyone is wondering, just from the parts they intend for you to use to make custom minifigures you can make 67,320 different minifigures and if you include the two different faces on each head you have 134,640 options.
I heard so many bad reviews on this piece and I must say it was one of my all time favorite builds. The variety in mini fig designs makes this set a must have. 😍
I think this set is absolutely delightful! I love the variety of minifigs you can come up with, plus the 3 room changes. That little owl 🦉 is adorable and I really want this almost just for him! I love all the Owl scenes in the books and movies. Thanks for breaking it all down for us!
I just added up all the parts in the back and got 1212. So something is definitely very wrong with the part list, but the front of the box is most likely correct!
@DCMetro 603 pieces multiplied by 2 is 1206. That is six numbers away from your number and double the amount of pieces actually in the set. Is it possible that every piece in the back of the instructions is multiplied by 2? That’s pretty funny.
@@brikprod No because at least all the minifigure part counts are correct, while some parts like the wands have been multiplied by three. Also I got 1219 pieces but I might've made a mistake somewhere as well
@@luna_eclipse93 Yes, you are correct. It looks to me like every piece that isn’t associated with Minifigures has been multiplied several times. It is odd that the calculation almost doubles the true piece count.
That lighter tan face print with the freckles would be a perfect freckled Little Jay from Ninjago, if they ever decide to also use these face designs on the yellow minifigure heads, which they need to. This really is a fantastic set all around.
Well, after seeing what's in this set I like it a lot more than I originally thought. Some parts I love: - Inclusion of Beaubaton and Durmstrang on the sticker sheet - The new Marauder's Map print, looks the most accurate yet - The owl in sand grey looking just like Errol the Weasley family owl - The reprint of the Quibbler makes me wonder if we'll see a Lovegood house set - The sheer variety of minifigure parts is a nice sign of Lego letting kids be more creative than some other sets - Just the little details like the house point hourglasses, the chess set, the banners at 14:03 each having the animals of the 4 houses as stone statues is a nice touch Will I get this set though? Probably not, I don't really need it as I'm not going to play with it like someone half my age would (I'm at more of a displaying age). Plus Lego is getting pretty pricey nowadays so it's going to be an easy pass. Although I might look on bricks and pieces for that Marauder's map piece and maybe the Quibbler.
If i was into Harry Potter stuff, i'd buy that set, looks so different than usual lego set and the amount of "rare" parts... and all the spare parts on top, such a great value!
I love the HP Lego sets that look like Hogwarts props--I loved newt's briefcase from a few years back, and I was a sucker for the Hogwarts Moments textbook/classrooms. I hope to see different props interpreted into a set like this!
You could make Ernie Macmillan, Anthony Goldstein and Zacharias Smith with the hairpiece at 4:08. So its not only Hermione, Luna, Malfoy and Cho Chang you can create. They knew some people would create the characters from the books!
never seen those inverted tile parts before but im damn glad lego is doing them, Mega bloks had those parts 15+ years ago and i always wished we would get them
love the idea of this set, def should be a star wars version with different robes, legs, capes even, hair and heads and different color sabers and handles.
As someone who doesn't care about Harry Potter, this looks really fun and has a notable variety of awesome parts. I can easily envision this concept be used as a foundation for boardgames or roleplaying games as there is a lot of customizabilty in the minifigure parts included. I think the charm of these types of sets is the faux interior design which offers a much bigger interior play space that is lacking and mostly impossible in typical Lego builds. $60 really depends on the parts here, the build alone obviously does not hold up to that price. If nothing else, this has inspired some ideas for me to try out one day.
i want a remake of this set as the suitcase from fantastic beast, maybe u can mix and match piece to not only have different beast but different biomes for said beast
This has so much potential. Other themes that could use this are DC, Marvel, Star Wars and City. Some specialized versions would work as well including Jedi or Jedi youngling for Star Wars and Lantern for DC

I've been wanting to make a moc with all the children in Logan for so long but their weren't enough kids heads available that weren't light nougat. I will definitely be buying this to finally make my moc
I have always been on a fence about elaborate builds because we all know that children have only two options: play with a set, and NO building because once the build is dismantled, it really can't be rebuild as whole, (bricks go missing, too difficult to build from memory) OR introducing and using the new bricks in their common building play. (Ever visited a child aged 4-11? They have that one giant lego storage box and no builds.)
