I know the house banners aren't everyone's favorite but I'm personally really looking forward to getting the Gryffindor House Banner. I think it looks cool.
I love the Hufflepuff one. I think it’s the most interesting and really cute, with great figures (although I’m a Ravenclaw), my biggest problem is the price.
Normally I'm on the same page as you, I totally disagree about the banners, but I have the wall space. I LOVE that I can hang them, when I built the one I have so far I could not stop talking about how I thought they were SO MUCH BETTER than the books because I could hang them. And I'm totally a book person, and I thought I was going to hate the banners, but I absolutely love the hanging banners. But even your black plate stands for them made them look great!!
Yeah, the sides aren't great but I don't have a way to really be close enough from the sides once they're on the wall. Thanks for your input on the sets!!
7:34 In this I feel you are looking for a reason to just not like them. The banners are meant to be hanged so if you hang them, the 3D image is not going to fall, if you put them in weird positions or you pull the image out of course is going to fall out.
These sets are designed to be removed from the wall though and played with. I cannot think of any other example of a set where you slide a brick or piece into place and they don’t put something on the top for it to be fully sealed in. An example of how simple it is is the room of requirements doorway. Those pieces, or just having more pegs on the back to hold it in. Specifically with the Slitherin one.
The banners don't really need to stand up as banners when the point is to hang them up on the wall. I've only built one so far but I really love it. Only issue is that I really wish they had made it so studs would be o the inside so that you could open it easier and display it open on the wall. Also I did not need another Cho Chang. Lego gave us one of the damn twins and now they seem dead-set on not delivering the other one because Padma would have been the perfect figure for the Ravenclaw banner. Also I really wish we'd get a mini-figure wave centered around Legacy. I like a lot of those characters and I'd like to have them in my castle timeline be damned.

A small set with Ominis & Sebastian in the caves, maybe something with Inferi since Lego never did the HBP cave scene. They could do a “Hogsmeade Attack” with Natty and a buildable troll. (Edit: now that I think about it, a goblin/poacher battle pack would be even better!) I would also LOVE to get Poppy in any way shape or form. Lego really dropped the ball, hopefully they can rectify this mistake with Jedi Survivor 🙁
I will enjoy hanging these, running out of space to stage my sets 😂 but I agree you should have some options so maybe they should have come with a stand for each.
Honestly. If the banners were books it would’ve been way better, I like the books but the fact there’s not even 1 bed in a room is pretty crazy and the books probably would’ve allowed to have 2 room (like the potions book) and one could be a bedroom
Does the Slytherin Banner Common Room Set come with a Slytherin’s Locket? Cause I noticed the others had their House Relic inside but I couldn’t see the Locket in Slytherins. There was a cupboard in there you didn’t open when you showed it…is it in there?

I haven't played a Hogwarts legacy and I don't plan to but I think LEGO Harry Potter use one through four and five through seven are great you get everything from the movies and you get to explore Hogwarts twice I got the collection.
The house banners are a miss. They should have done proper common rooms like so many of us have been wanting. Such a shame. I will purchase my house, but not until it goes on sale.
I think we may possibly get legacy lego sets closer to the holidays or next year. When they were designing these it was still unknown just how well the game would do, since it’s already a GOTY contender I think it’s possible now. Hopefully!
The game is canon. That’s how they knew what to include in the Hufflepuff set :) And the theme has been around for six waves now and they’re already remaking sets…
WB already announced they would build uppon Hogwarts Legacy with much more games and maybe a new TV series. For me personaly it is part of the Harry Potter canon. But even if you contradict, you can't deny it is canon of its own new franchise. And I'm sure Lego noticed how this game generated a new Lego Harry Potter boom.
Doubt it. There's already controversy for LEGO doing sets from Harry Potter in general. Pretty sure the 12 million copies sold and nearly $1 billion dollars earned speaks more than upset people on the internet.
The reason this people complain about Hogwarts Legacy is the exact same as why they complain about fantastic beasts, Lego Harry Potter or every other existing Wizarding World merchandise out there. Only because it supports Rowling.
I am leaning towards not getting tbe banners. Already got a merpeople set tho not delivered yet. Will probably \get the ror at some point. Like the books have all of them.

Glad you like them! If the banners were longer and thinner and didn’t look ugly from the side. MAYBE I’d hang my house banner

I think the banners are great. If you're mad about them not standing upright, all I can say is that banners are meant to be hung.
I really hope that next year’s spring wave for Harry Potter is a Hogwarts Legacy wave, that would honestly make up for the missed opportunity here

I used to complain that we didn’t get enough Harry Potter sets but now there’s so many that I can’t even keep track of them all.
