we love Jim, but im happy to see Jim with a positive attitude. Nothing in life is permanent, but thanks for sharing his energy with the world. Truly he is my favorite gardener to watch
Dang maaaan. I’ve watched many of your videos of Jim and this property and I’ll just say that it was/is some of the most interesting and enjoyable videos I’ve ever watched. Tough to hear that Jim is “permanently” leaving Florida. But….. it is being passed on to another amazing person and gardener. It is falling into good hands. Such a beautiful place. That’s a HUUUUUGE understatement. Lot of hardwork and dedication Jim put into this place. Another HUUUUGE understatement. Time gets us all. All we can do is try to touch hearts and minds and pass on whatever valuable knowledge and wisdom to whoever is willing to take it, and hopefully make a change and hope those pass it on and pay it forward. Amazing content Pete as usual. Much love and aloha🙏🏼❤️🤙🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼
This video series has inspired my own gardening ambitions. Live in an HOA on a tiny lot now, but already planning for the next house, and getting more land to plant a garden and fruit trees is criteria number one! Has also raised my awareness on the importance of organic and no till gardening, and sustainability in general. Thanks so much to y'all for sharing this, it has been a joy to watch!
Love these Jim videos. Thanks Pete and thanks Jim. I look forward to any Maine videos. Good luck you both. Happy Jim found happiness in Maine with the new family.
Pete and Jim thank yall for everything to this point!!! Jim get some well deserved family time in Maine and just remember yall did it!! Florida is getting back to its roots (literally)and yall provided such a beneficial environment for the people and plants to thrive. 😊
Thanks for all the videos guys! Loved the interactions with you and Jim. Made my winters a little warmer seeing Jim out in the garden thriving in February.Good Luck with everything guys!
Thank you to all three of you. It is so inspirational to learn about how and where things can be grown. I have watched many of your videos and got so much from each one. Jim is a special kind of guy and I do hope we get some updates on his new adventure. Thanks for all the video work and good luck to Tanner and hope to hear from you all someday. Take care all.
Certainly going to miss Jim! Thank you for all of the videos and now Pete you’ll have to spend more time in Maine so we can all have updates on what Jim is growing up there. Better yet Jim needs to have his own TH-cam channel!
Wow wow wow!!! 🎩 off to Jim for being able to pass the torch to Taner. We home school up here in NJ. Moving to NC soon and the laws are different. So it’s something to work with. Good luck Jim, super happy for you!
Jim not coming back to Florida sucks!! There will be a void in my life especially every spring!😞I looked forward to spring to see his garden and pick up his wisdom. Good luck to you both!!
so sad to see Jim Go. Man is a legend and it has been awesome to see him work. Hope you keep coming back to the plot to see how Tanner is running the place after Jim is out.
Jim has been a huge inspiration for me. My garden is mostly compost fed now. I make a chunky compost out of my neighbors grass clippings, leaves and branches from bushes. Then I use it as a thick layer of compost/mulch. My plants are very resilient because of it.
Started watching videos featuring Jim in 2019, I believe. They inspired me to start growing some of my own food. So far, I’ve only grown garlic and onions but this year, I added potatoes. We’ll see what next year brings. Jim is a very interesting character and is excellent subject matter for videos. Best of luck to him and to Tanner as they both embark upon new chapters in their lives.
I appreciate learning from Jim and wish him well in Maine. I hope that we can continue to see this farm and keep learning. Thanks for teaching us about being better gardeners.
Hey Uncle Pete and Jim, you will be missed Jim . You're so intelligent and realy produce! Have a great life with your new family❤. Congratulations Tanner for having the torche passed to you. I'm sure you will do an excellent job🎉. Thanks, Uncle Pete , nice to see you👋. JO JO IN VT 💞
I love my Japanese hand sickles. The triangle shaped one is my favorite tool for hand weeding as well as for planting. The scythe shaped ones are great for thinning, cutting banana and papaya leaves, and for harvesting certain crops like leafy greens. I miss you, Jim. Thinking of you being settled down with your beloved family makes my heart swell for you guys, but you are sorely missed. How many hours drive is it to your place anyway? 😁
Thanks for this video Pete!!! So good to get an update on Jim and Tanner and the farm!!! Sure will miss Jim and all his wisdom!!! Wishing Tanner the very best!!! Maybe you can circle back to the guys from time to time! Thanks for documenting all the cool stuff that Jim got growin’ on at this property!!! Best of luck in all your endeavors too Pete!!!
Bittersweet moment indeed. I will miss your videos with Jim. He has always been so innovative, thought "outside the box" with great success. He has been a true inspiration to us Florida gardeners in our struggling pursuit of growing vegetables in this climate Handing the torch to Tanner...hoping that you, Pete, can give us periodic updates on his operation, too, as he puts his own stamp on the urban garden. Good luck, and happy life to Jim! I hope we get to visit you in Maine, through Pete's camera. It has been a great ride!
Always impressive!! Hope you can find the time to catch up with Jim in Maine and also check in with Tanner to see what's Growing On.👍Good time to go back and watch Jim from the start.
Only one thing that is constant and that is change. I'm gonna miss new content with you and Jim. I hope you still get a chance to go up to Maine to show what's growin on with him.
From Connecticut here - introduced to you Jim through Justin Rhodes (Great American Farm Tour) . It was an honor to meet you & your Mom about 3 years ago ! Your Mom s house is a school house- awesome! The best to you and your family in Maine & to Tanner & his family - Thank You Pete for all your videos of Jim 🎉❤😢💜👨🏼🌾🐓🌱🌻🍅🥬🥚🦪 BEAUTIFUL STORY ……You ‘ve taught a lot Jim .😊
i hope you still go back though and carry on and film tanner, he seems a good down to earth guy and think you should continue the 'series' with him-- any idea if tanner has a youtube or posts anything? younger generation than jim so wasnt sure if he does his own thing on youtube as well. thanks for all the jim vidoes though pete, they have been great and like i said i hope you continue on and visit tanner to let us see how he transitions things and that would be cool to see!!
Best of luck with new nursery and wish Jim all teh bestwit the move. Still watch all your vids even though hardly ever comment. I thought I would comment on this one to wish you guys all the best and you mentioned the word slacking! There is some thing else you have been slacking on. Well for the last 4 years any ways. YAM VIDEOS!!!! A ton of us subscribed for your yam vids back in the day. If you remember your Yam Hunting vid and the one with Yam varieties? Awesome videos
Does Tanner do any seed soaking? I was listening to a John Kempf podcast which blew my mind. He said our composting is great, but 90% of the bacteria only comes when it's in contact with roots. He also was talking about this mineral soak before biocoat gold and the results they had seen with it. Just wondered if that was something you had ever talked with them about Pete.... thanks! Wishing Jim happy times in Maine and will miss seeing his videos here.
Hi Pete I was wondering if Jim could give us an update on those cannabis plants from that video a while back how did they turn out what was the yield etcetera etcetera. Much love from Zone 5B you guys are the best❤!!
That's the place I ordered my scythe outfit from, I don't have it yet, they are way behind on the outfits because they have to make the snaths and sharpen the blades and set everything up, there's just more work to it I guess.. You are getting temps in the low 50's this early in the year? Thanks Pete
Thanks for the Memories Jim! Pete I hope you continue to grow your channel and also feature Tanner in his efforts to carry on Jim's legacy. Good Luck to you all.

He's the reason i got into gardening in Florida. I will miss him Dearly
Jim Kovaleski convinced me to buy a scythe. I hope it's not the last we hear from him.
Me Three (that is, I'm two scythe blades in: grass blade, and a bush blade)
Definitely not the last!
Can you please go visit Jim in Maine as often as you can? I've learned so much from watching him through your videos.
