    As perfect as his trucks are it's amazing that he can still find ways to improve on what is already an amazing product... and the pursuit of excellence continues.

    My dream machine done right. The drone is a very nice touch. I would like to see how the rack and soft-top join - the whole process of rack removal and re-installation as well.

    I think that you should put the ICON Logo on headrests. Either stitched or an aluminum plate that says ICON similar to early-mid 2000's AMG headrest Badge?

    Third row armrests? Also, maybe it's me, but the rear of the soft top is a bit ugly - square and sharp. A more round look would be consistent with the original FJ40.

    Anyone who thinks a Land Rover is better than a Land Cruiser needs their head examined.

    • @daviemaclean61
      @daviemaclean61 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anyone making that statement is hoping for an argument! ;-) They are both cool and Jonathan Ward makes the FJ cooler with thoughtful design......and a huge wad of cash. Unmolested FJs are still cool too

    • @renaudvank3330
      @renaudvank3330 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I don't remenber if it's a African or Australian saying. It goes like this;
      If you want to go in to the bush take a Landrover or Jeep, if you want to come back again take a Land Cruiser ;-)

    • @daviemaclean61
      @daviemaclean61 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ha ha - and true! I think if you want to come back you need a Hilux! ;-)

    • @weaton25
      @weaton25 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The only problem with saying that a Landrover or a Jeep is not as good as a Land Cruiser these ICON trucks are not really Toyota's as about all that is left of the standard truck is the body the chassis engine and almost everything other is nothing to do with Toyota I am not knocking the ICON but it aint a TOYOTA .

    • @daviemaclean61
      @daviemaclean61 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are quite right, and plenty of the body is modified too! They all have their followers and you can modify any of them, with enough money, to climb the side of a building or cross a continent.

    Too bad having a Toyota engine isn't practical, like the diesel found in the Hilux outside the US.

    • @AnAbortiveRomance
      @AnAbortiveRomance 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same problem, not a Toyota engine. Plus, the VW engine would be expensive maintenance wise, I'd prefer the gm product over that.
