Jonathan I love all your projects and your company, ive been following you since day one, and you are huge inspiration to my personal projects... one question though I always keep asking myself, as a toyota fan my self and growing up around hundreds of toyota projects in my home country Venezuela, I ask my self why you dont try to use more toyota engines in your toyota projects? The 4.5L inline 6 that comes stock in the late-gen 80 series is an awesome motor, near bullet proof, super reliable, powerful, and with a good exhaust sounds very very good, have you ever considered them in a project?

I totally get the name due to the colour, But it's not a Troopy. :( But it does look great. Oh and the little side vents that pops open to get that breeze up your shorts on those hot days, bugs too. Why didn't you include that?

The first time I saw you was with a Toyota FJ. And I liked what you do. Retro, but up dated. And later I saw that you, and your team of course, created fucking great cars. I most say that it is a above my limit, but it's great to see that there is a team that can realize dreams.
Awesome looking truck! I've always liked the Toyota Land Cruiser. It's a shame that the Land Cruiser FJ series was never available in pickup truck form in the USA. I'd order mine with a turbo diesel if one were available. :)
the FJ-45 was available in the USA, but only from 1963-1967 (I think, maybe off a year or two) and only gas. Ones that were originally sold in the USA are pretty rare, but people are importing them (actually mostly BJ-45's which are the diesel version) from Australia and New Zealand where they were available until the early 1980's.
Erik Biesemeier It's unforgivable that Toyota didn't offer diesel powered Land Cruisers in the USA. Is diesel for everyone? Not really. But for a vehicle the size of a Land Cruiser, I believe that it should at least be offered as an option for those who need it, or do want it.

Is there any difference between regular powder coat and crinkled powder coat besides ascetics? Like is crinkled tougher?
