Getting your hands to play at two different dynamics simultaneously is a simple enough concept, but getting your body to actually do it might be a bit more challenging. Nice dynamic textures and a higher level of control await.

Excellent lesson on what is basically independence, both rhythmic and dynamic. The next step from here is to play the ride cymbal dynamically as well, as it was pretty even in your examples (but then the video would have been 2 hours and a half :)
