    As a Spurs fan, Keldon and Devin were not in their ideal roles this season. Especially Keldon
    Keldon is ideally a third option or maybe even 4th. Since Dejounte left, i mean someone had to put the ball in the circle. Keldon is a great shooter but his efficiencies were trash this year because of all the defensive attention on him. He can thrive extremely well as a cutter and shooter while being the 3rd option on offense.
    His defense isn't great at all, I really hope in 2-3 years I see Keldon and Tre Jones leading the bench with Malaki Branham. Keldon is ideally that scorer off the bench.
    I think Malaki Branham is going to rise up and could honestly be the 2nd or 3rd option on offense, that dude has crazy potential on offense. Especially if we keep guys like Zach Collins who aren't afraid to get physical and set him up with screens.
    Devin has one of the prettiest shots in the league. Again, he commanded a little too much defensive attention than he ideally should be. Devin was our best player this season when he played but like I said, neither of Devin or Keldon should ever be in a position where they are commanding defensive attention like this year. That shouldn't happen ideally.
    There was also an emphasis on offense since again, someone has to put the ball in the circle. That made his defense drop. He can be much more impactful if he's not having to put so much effort and go against stronger defenders that way he can play the defense that he was touted for coming out of college. He was expected to be a 3 and d role player. I think it's very likely he turns into a very high end 3 and d "roleplayer." I'd go so far as to say he makes 1-2 all stars throughout his career. He's just frankly, not supposed to be the best player on a championship team. He might even be the best player on the spurs team again next season
    I think in a few years, we'll see a spurs team reminiscent of the beautiful game spurs. I don't think Wemby is gonna be averaging 33 pts a game or anything. I think he'll average 26-28 and the spurs are gonna be atop the league in assists where many guys are sharing the offensive load. I think that's ideal, that way Wemby can focus more on defense.
    I think it'll turn out kinda like Timmy. Not that he couldn't go out and drop 35 when he wanted, just didn't need to and played team ball instead and really focused on defense
    I'm very happy with how my spurs future is looking. I think we already have a core that will start to seriously rise in this league by 2027 I'd say.
    I'd say Wemby, Vassell, Sochan and Branham are untouchable. I'd really rather not see Keldon, Tre and Zach leave.
    Keldon is very loveable, energetic and is a good player, just worried the wings might get too crowded. Tre is a class act and a true old school floor general and a great leader and solid player. Zach brings a toughness to the team along with Sochan, if anyone messes with Wemby next season I assure you, Zach Collins and Jeremy Sochan are gonna be in their face. Zach is also a very solid player that made it evident why he was a lottery pick after the Jakob Poeltl trade.
    Those DeMar years of being a mediocre team really sucked (nothing against DeMar). Bad enough to know that the ceiling was getting wrecked in the first round but still too good to tank and get good picks. Really happy Brian Wright picked a side, committed to a rebuild and pulled off all these trades and now I believe we have 13 first rounders through 2029.

      @@OhsoCarolina I think more than likely it's going to be Devin Vassell or Malaki Branham. Or who knows what happens this upcoming year, maybe it'll be the guy we get in the 2024 draft who is our no. 2 option

      @alexadams7859 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with you with him scoring in the mid to high 20s vs. in the 30s
      I watched some of the Mets 92 games, and I feel like Wemby would be able to transition easily on how the Spurs played this previous season on the offensive end (the beautiful game of basketball style) Even though he is the guy on the team everyone is scoring. You would think he would have more ISO plays, but that's not how the offense is run.

    • @alexadams7859
      @alexadams7859 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Branham is a sleeper. Due to the Spurs being the Spurs (less media coverage) and them having a losing record, he wasn't talked about much. He was the scoring leader for rookies in February and top 10 for the year in scoring and assist, which says a lot because he was not the main guy.

    Wemby has so much potential he has to be the #1 pick. That having been said I don't think he's going to have as much of an immediate impact as people think. He'll probably get a lot of minutes and put up numbers but I'd be surprised if San Antonio takes a major leap forward without this year without making other roster changes. The kid is very talented and truly unique but parts of his game don't seem NBA ready to me. I could be wrong and either way he has a very bright future.

  • @alexadams7859

    If the Spurs can move back into the lottery, Cason Wallace can be the answer when it comes to perimeter Defense and he doesn't have to many holes in his game when it comes to the offensive side. Can facilitate, catch and shoot, and spread the floor. A lot of people like Anthony Black more due to his size, defense, and his play making ability, but is limited on the offensive side when it comes to shooting. But if everyone around him can shoot he can be really nice

Keldon Vessel Sochan VW and Collins .. and if Pop wants to trout out tradition play, you got Trey Branham Champagnie Mamu and Bassey... after that u got your weapons... Need a shooting point Graham... Or a fast pace point Wesley... U need shooting ... Mc buckets.... So oh no a big goes down any big bring in Barlow.... So what does that leave ... Shawn Bradley also became a midrange shooter, and no one could contest him BUT HE COULDN'T MAKE A HIGH PERCENTAGE... and BTW, Chet Holmgren shot 73% from 2 and 40% from 3 against high level NCAA competition, whereas "Wemby" shot under 40% from 2pt range in Euroleague competition and barely over 50% in the French Frog League and has never proven to be better than a 30% 3 point shooter... @nbaswish yeah, point I was trying to make! Media build up around a fragile 18 kid is so hyped that the kid will never be able to live up to and as much as they get from building up,destroying pays even more! It's OK to be hopeful and positive, but making him a superstar before he played a game is a heavy Jinx!

      ... they're hyping him up cause they see how he plays.. he could be the next greatest player... it's another thing if he gets injured...but he has all the skills it takes to be a great player... nobody is saying he's going to the finals or be the MVP his first season...but he checks a lot of boxes to be a top 3 player of his era...and with his skills who knows...but of course like every player he needs to stay healthy...

    • @pashapasovski5860
      @pashapasovski5860 ปีที่แล้ว

      @nbaswish for LBJ I give you most No1 picks who never made it,like Zion for example the next greatest thing since White Bread,played 30 games in 3 years because nobody though that 300 pounds of mussels aren't supposed to be attached to a human skeleton, Gorilla can swing the weight because Gorillas bone density is twice stronger and more flexible! Kid is Porzingis size and he was special talent,7,3 3point 40% and a guy like Jokic is playing better ball than entire NBA and nobody gave him a chance! I just don't understand how people believe eye test bullshit when it's not the eyes but brains that should make decisions! I don't want to jinx the kid,but it's more likely that he fails than succeeds ,if history teaches us anything! Bol Bol can dribble pass,shoot and he's longer, yet 3 years since he hasn't found a steady time on 3 different teams! Between him and Luka, I draft Luka and don't look back,Luka was proven in the best Euro league as a 16 year old kid, he was the best in Europe! This kid didn't play for Real,Barca,or even any of the upper Euro teams, I wonder why,because they pay good money in Europe for talent and play hard basketball!
