Why do the two of you keep acting like Jack Perry and Hangman Page are completely innocent bystanders in this whole saga, when they both proactively chose to go into business for themselves during live broadcasts specifically to try to undercut Punk, the top babyface draw in the promotion? And in Hangman’s case, he explicitly admitted to Punk that he did it because of an unsubstantiated rumor that Punk got Colt Cabana was fired when he wasn’t even fired. And two years later now, Cabana is STILL getting a check from Tony Khan to do nothing. You two are completely incapable of being impartial about this whole story.

How did he disrespect Punk on TV? Someone told Perry getting a rental car to smash up was ok, and we need to know who. Punk can tell him no all he likes, but if it was TK who OKed that, then Punk should have minded his own business.
He kind of is... Do people not understand he was being pulled in two directions by two groups competing for power? The Bucks (his bosses) are telling him to do one thing (the glass spot). Punk on the other hand is telling him not to. No matter what Perry was a scapegoat. He's being blamed for this whole thing when he was literally doing what he was told to do. Punk could've done plenty of things other than start a physical altercation backstage. We also don't know if Perry indeed said "do something about it", because there's no audio.

The incident with Tony WAS shown!!! Look close towards the end to the right- that is Tony’s arm reaching in. Then punk leans/walks towards Tony on the right and yells at him. I’m sure said exactly what he said in the interview. That was IT. “Feared for my life.”
Of what you can make out with the pillar/wall in the way, through body language and guessing, it looked like he pointed at someone as he "lunged" forward or stumbled whatever.
Think it was for: Transparency. To put the whole thing to bed. To get the final word after Punk downplayed it in that unprovoked interview he didn't have to do.
AEW have successfully made everyone want to watch RAW now to see what Drew says about this, and listen to Cornette's thoughts on it. So they've generated buzz for the competition and their biggest critic 😅
The amount of wrestling fans that are acting completely baffled by the concept of someone telling someone to do something about it, and then that someone doing something about it is hilarious. Don’t start no shit, won’t be no shit. It ain’t that hard of a concept to grasp.
The fact that Khan actually aired this is surreal to me. Also, it’s completely ridiculous to say that Punk lied about Samoa Joe’s involvement in this. Just because he physically pulled them apart doesn’t make Punk’s description of this as “Joe said let him go” untrue- two things can be happening at once, guys. And I’m not even a Punk sycophant, but let’s just be real here.
The other day Lyin' Alvarez said that AEW wouldn't show the footage unless it incriminated Punk, and that didn't turn out to be the case. Lyin' also mocked the idea of Punk choking Perry "a little bit" (Punk's words) but again, that's exactly what happened. For this whole time going back to Brawl Out, Lyin' Alvarez has insisted that Punk must be fired from the company essentially because he's a bad dude and is lying all the time, based on information fed to him from certain people within AEW that is completely false. And all of this is because Maria Kanellis chose Punk over Lyin' back in the day. Remarkable.
What did Jack Perry do to deserve being "suspended" for 7 months? Instigated a fight with CM Punk, causing Tiny to have to fire Punk and costing them massively in ticket sales, merch sales and viewership. I'd say he got off pretty lightly!
It's amazing how Dave and Brian always play down CM Punks Star power. He took so many fans with him they had to change narrative about how 800,000k is the new Million.
I truly believe that Jack Perry manipulated the whole incident into existence. He was told no on the glass spot and afterward, went around those managers to get it approved by a different bunch of executives. Perhaps executive vice presidents, in this case. This is SUCH typical office power plays and politicking that my only disappointment is that Punk played into it. And if anyone doubts that Jungle Boy was trying to get this to happen, the obvious power play nature of this whole issue is the reason Punk yelled at Tony when they were pulled apart.
@@ReiHost Or Jack was literally being pulled into two different directions by two groups of people looking for power. Punk's camp is telling him not to do it, and Buck's camp is telling him to do it, both of which were placed into positions of power. TK should've let Punk leave after Brawl Out happened, and at the end of the day Punk and the Bucks couldn't coexist in the same company while having positions of power like TK wanted.
Alvarez are you serious? Dude there is footage. We saw what happened. It sure as hell wasn’t what you had said took place. How do you know Joe didn’t ask him. Because Joe did not pull them apart. Yeah, there's a good 4 seconds between Joe getting to the scuffle and Punk letting go. Plenty of time for it to have gone as Punk said. At about the 4 minute mark of the "AEW is going to air the CM Punk/Jack Perry All In footage on Dynamite" video, Meltzer says "I will presume that this is airing because there's proof that what Punk said wasn't true. The funny part is...even if that's the case, people will pretend that it's true." WELP!

But 2 sentences later they doing the opposite and saying it a great idea or it good cause it part of storyline "". What punk says on the interview is exactly how it plays out. Also when joe run in. Once he grap jack. He probably told punk. Let him go and he did. And after that. It look like punk told tony. This place is a joke and you a clown. I quit. Just like he said in the interview...bad week for aew
Well Meltzer brought up that he "didn't have a chance to say his side of the story... Or whatever." Like "I'm a giant dingus who ruined all of the forward momentum of a promotion with one really, really stupid and incoherent promo on the go away show before a PPV" needs to be said.
How did Hangman start it when Eddie Kingston said the same things and worse to Punk's face? What's with this schoolyard "he started it" stuff? Who cares, and why does it matter? Why do the two of you keep acting like Jack Perry and Hangman Page are completely innocent bystanders in this whole saga, when they both proactively chose to go into business for themselves during live broadcasts specifically to try to undercut Punk, the top babyface draw in the promotion?
And in Hangman’s case, he explicitly admitted to Punk that he did it because of an unsubstantiated rumor that Punk got Colt Cabana was fired when he wasn’t even fired. And two years later now, Cabana is STILL getting a check from Tony Khan to do nothing.
You two are completely incapable of being impartial about this whole story.

then why follow them?
As soon as dave said. I get along well with tony. You already know this 2 goofs will defend tony and AEW. They may sound like they saying what's wrong with the show or booking.
And again hangman page started all of this and still no one brings that up.
Facts! Hangman started it all. Yet these goofs never bring it up.
Tony Khan should have been a boss and actually made a story out of this with Punk FTR And the Elite
insane that you can arrive at Fucking Hangman Page being the cause of another 45 year old man's insolent behavior.
If Punk was the grown man that he claims to be, he would've let Hangman's comments roll off his back. He's the one who decided to keep that energy alive by responding when he didn't have to. Being a grown up means controlling what you can control.
8:20 or so they mention 'everyone' is talking about Perry's long suspension. I haven't seen one person talk about it. No one cares about Perry and this video made him look terrible. Who fixes their hair after they get shoved twice?
Perry looks like he has tears in his eyes in the video and they probably cut the audio because his crying was too bad.
someone who has a level head, and understands he's at WORK
@@jonjones9917all of the "clutching their pearls, Punk is such an unprofessional at the workplace" act like getting in a coworkers face and saying "What're you going to do about it?" is somehow professional behavior. Get outtah here.
"The CM Punk/Jack Perry footage aired. Can we move on now?"
I don't know, can you and AEW move on???
Bryan said he lied but he actually did choke Jack 😂😂😂
This and the Will Ospreay promo hurt AEW
Will is so stupid. Build your match with Danielson that has 0 heat. 😂😂😂
DUSTIN AND JOE MATCH 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😑😑😑😑
Can the “elite” move on ? What a clown show AEW has become…. It’s so so sad
You support a rape company.
I was so excited when it first start but the last year has just been sniffing their own farts. It's unbearable.
It’s funny hearing Dave and the observer guys talking about not being a punching bag while crapping on CM punk all these months for lashing out at others who verbally treated him like a punching bag
You know shit is bad when Alvarez and Meltzer are criticizing their decision on airing this footage.
I wonder what the fallout will be as a result of airing this. It will be interesting to see what the ratings are this week and next week. (This week to see how many people tuned in to see this, next week to see how many people will stick around and continue to watch the shows and support AEW).
No matter how you spin it, Punk wasn’t lying and even the AEW fans in the arena thought so. People hate the Young Bucks and love CM Punk, and all the talent going on the defense is just making AEW look like a 3rd rate promotion.
Weirdly you guys never addressed one of the biggest issues and that’s the AEW management looked at this footage after Punk did the podcast and they all thought “yep, this footage is going to mess him up bad and this will get folks to get on our side.” How can so many people be so dead wrong? And Osprey making the same old and tired HHH with the bosses joke. Think we’ve heard that one for 20 years. All AEW did was prove Punk right in everything he said about AEW being a clown show and not a real business
It's ok for Paul Levesque to take shots at AEW though Wrestlemania week? 🤔
Tony took the bait because he is the snowman. It’s why Trips keeps baiting him whenever he can because he knows just fire enough shots, Tony will do something stupid
@@juanheredia9297not that it’s okay or not okay. Paul knew his words weren’t going to make him look like a doofus and everybody leading up to this footage knew it was going to make AEW look bad and that is what is happening now
@@juanheredia9297No, it's not OK. But what you do is ignored those shots especially when HHH never said any names. You rise above the petty comments not shine a light on it and that goes both ways.
It also proved Punk has an anger problem he seemingly couldn't control himself. It also proved that Punk and the Bucks could never have worked together. Any time he's confronted physical violence breaks out. It also paints out what probably happened at the Brawl Out itself, which was probably Punk starting a physical altercation.
This would never for a second happen around Vince or Triple H. Tony should've just canned him after Brawl Out and wiped his hands clean of the situation.
No dave, the "I feared for my life" is when punk leant over the desk after it and shouted at khan, that's it, no other incident
If Dave the biggest Elite Stan is saying this wasn’t the incident, maybe he’s telling the truth? Sorry he isn’t carrying the Dub’s water today
There's other footage involving Punk and Tony but it wasn't included. Do pay attention.
Do pay attention, cm punk was spot on, cry more
Can we move on now? ... No. AEW aired this. AEW wants people talking about this. We can't move on because AEW hasn't.
"It just wasn't well thought out"
Man it's as if we just went through two weeks of Dynamites with reactionary content based off of one podcast appearance.
A few things that I took from this .
1. Dave is on the payroll. All of his reasoning shifts the blame from AEW to Punk.
2. His knowledge of what the angle was meant to do, was bring him back, shows you that he’s in tune with what’s going on bts.
3. It looks like the Wrestling Observer fan era is relatively over. I can’t find a single person that still respects Dave.
So this is the video where dave hung his hat on "bryan danielson voted to fire him" from that video looks like bryan was doing punk a favor
wow another child.
@@jonjones9917 lol after what they aired im the child thats hilarious
Now I see why Cody left. He seen the writing on the wall that these guys and omega have no idea how to deal with situations like this and it shows that Tony has no clue about how to run a business. He just likes to throw around his dad’s money
Dave, will you apologize to that PWI reporter?
What did he say? I don't remember
He threatened his life@@juniorkhomari1850
Only most stupid variant of mamals in this Earth who (still) believe with Uncle Dave
😂
the rise n fall of AEW! the downward spiral!
AEW is in its WCW 2000 era
Poor decision by Tony to air this footage. By proving CM Punk was truthful about what happened at All In, it makes people more likely to believe he was truthful about everything he has said about AEW.
This proves punks point when he said there's no NDA in places where he's wrong... He acknowledged that he's wrong here... But why did tony khan place NDA for locker room incident... If punk was in wrong, there would be no NDA..
Tony khan is pathetic...
In what world was CM Punk truthful? Haters are like Trump fans, even with proof they change the narrative lol
He said he didn't punch jack where it pretty clear as day showed him punching at jack as they were being separated. How is that being truthful?
@@michael-orian5773 Literally everything he said in the Ariel intervew about the altercation was true. He shoved him first and chocked him, then confronted Tony and was pulled away by others, one of them being Joe.
@@michael-orian5773 Punk went through what happened step by step with Helwani. It matches exactly what AEW showed. I'm no hater on AEW/Tony Khan. I was at All In and I'm going again this year. I just believe this is a really poor look for them
Could you apologize for slandering CM Punk for months?
That would require being a man and admit you were wrong but they would never do that.
NO AND NEVER.
THEY BOTH NEVER KNOW THE DEFINITION OF 'APOLOGY'
😂
This proves that punk is guilty of a crime.
slandering 😂
You clearly don't know what slander means lmao
I'm waiting for The Rise and Fall of AEW documentary
At this rate it’ll be out sooner rather than later.
The stories that are going to come out about how Tony and the Bucks helped completely destroy this company are going to be epic
Look forward to it or the Self destruction of Aew on Peacock
Did aew rise yet?
That "Dark Side of the Ring" episode is gonna HIT like the stuff Tony Khan takes 😅😂
Guys… it’s entertainment… don’t think too deeply about it. No need to “move on” from it. You’re talking about it. That’s the win here. You care about it, regardless of which side you’re on. Speaking the names of the people involved gives breadth to their reach as a product and story. The more you talk about it, the better. This video alone has 1,000 comments…
Y'all would defend Hitler as long as he was signed to AEW.
Technically Bryan your wrong, Punk actually said he choked him a little bit and Samoa Joe asked him to stop. Which I'm sure he did while breaking it up. So technically he did choke him and stop after Joe asked him. I think it's time for you to rewatch the interview, and not have selective memory.
Bryan and Dave are trying every way they can to make themselves not look as wrong about this as they have been. And in doing that they're still wrong lol
How soft is Ospreay that he thinks he's the one HHH was discussing?
Ha.
Yeah exactly. That promo did nothing. Embarrassing as hell.
I like how Ospreay thought the same tired line everyone has ever said about Triple H was really scathing. He looked so proud of himself after he said it.
You get it, bruv. Here have a 🍪.
Ha.

@@FforFakeimagine not only costing yourself to ever have a spot at WWE, but to also not be able to leverage Tony Khan again next time. But, Aew won't be around anyways.
Ha.
@@FforFake I'm surprised he didn't call him big nose.
Ha.
Considering that wrestlemania XL is commercially and critically acclaimed, this is was so sad, so pathetic, so minor league.
of course bryan and dave want to move on 😂
Meltzer 7 months ago: it was a lot more than just a lunge…
Alvarez: “think you put in the 0bserver the story was about when the whole thing went down you know people said that he lunged at Tony”
Meltzer: it was probably stronger than that I I think I think I was being and that here’s the the funniest thing and you know this better than anyone throughout this whole ordeal you and I were far too kind to him, I mean that’s the reality we were far too kind to him, I always gave him the benefit of the doubt, I always tried to give his side, while everyone didn’t want to hear you know, you’re you’re after him and everything like that but OK, but lunging was again far too kind you know, if you saw the actual wording of what was said, lunging was was I was toning it down, you know I mean it was more than lunging….”
Later: “it’s in the Observer you know I mean we got the Jack Perry story we got the Phil Brooks story okay so they’re both there, but the 3rd story and there’s a couple of other stories, but the key one was the unaffiliated non-wrestler story and um you know I mean that is what I would call I I don’t know, it’s the most reliable but it’s it’s the you know it’s neither, it’s neither party but it’s someone who saw it and it’s a non-wrestler it’s not someone who has any uh stakes in the game, or part of either clique or anything close to that, it’s just someone who was there working as many people were and saw what happened and um there’s actually more that may come out this week that were also there but I’ll get into that later this week probably…”
