The happiness in your voice is palpable. Your mention of 1 mile difference is a fair distance, given that even if you had pushed more and caught up, Jesse may have had something in reserve. I'm impressed with your preparation for the race and wish I had taken more time to do that back when I ran the Moab 240 back in 2018. I'm very interested in the ketones you mentioned in the video. I was definitely losing it in the last two nights of my race and I suspect it was a combination of sleep deprivation and a lack of focus for the race. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to your movie on this race. I am itching to go back as it was really transformative for me. But I also have my eye on the Delirious West 200 miler in Australia. Maybe I should just do both 😀
Love the analysis already, so kind of you to share the behind the scenes of how you prepared and executed! It would be great if you could maybe include some estimates of how much it costs to run a race with the setup that you had in the final film, as it surely is not just a few bucks. Well done Jeff and team. I've been subscribed and watching your videos for some time now but you totally blew my mind with your performance... Wow! 2nd, over such a massive distance puts you right up there!
One last comment on this (and I think I speak for everyone) is we want it all!! We want everything regarding race lead up, training, nutrition, gear, mental, planning, and then also all that for after. what worked, what you would change, etc. You could probably stretch this out over 35 videos and a million views. IMO the moab 240 is THE race. I know I know there are other races but this is the one (for me) and you finished 2nd....outstanding. Need all the details:) Well done again.
