I think they have perfect chemistry and even if they didn’t seem to have good chemistry maybe that’s because she wasn’t in it a lot and she doesn’t have to clarify it’s his and he doesn’t have to ask her if it’s hers ifhe trust her and why can’t people just be happy that they’re going to have a baby instead of questioning it
This storyline is so ridiculous! They lusted after one another got it our of their system, nothing is there, I mean what a commitment and not one friend or brother asks to make sure it is Rick's! The two don't have chemistry they are just awkward around one another. Rick and Higgins had more chemistry in their Halloween episode.
Honestly, as much as I love Higgins and Magnum together and their chemistry I don't think it would turn into a relationship that would be very interesting to watch. I feel like the writers are just pushing it now to tease the fans. Now as for Rick and Higgins, they don't have that many scenes together and I feel like the whole show would be better as just one family without any drama going on but I suppose that's the nature of any show. Also, Rick's actor is actually married to Suzy's actress but the relationship just doesn't make much sense to me.
@@Dr.TV3 The thing is they are pairing people and then their are too many pairs and it is good to have a messed up character that does not go along with stereotyping as easy an angsty one. No, Rick and Suzy's relationship does not make any sense to me either. I think they are only pushing Suzy and Rick as they are married in real life and they are in Hawaii and there are not many shows to do. The way they are being directed is bad unless they have zip chemistry in the real world. For an actor it must be boring in a way to act like you are in a relationship with your spouse as you are their spouse. I am not pro thespians acting with their real spouses anyway unless it is a quick in and out or a nemesis in a show. Higgins and Magnum make a terrible couple, especially with the way she talks to him, though that is better now but still. Not to mention once they are all paired the show will be a nearing its end. The old Magnum played the field so they could stick with the action more and that was better. I just feel that they are trying to do Hart to Hart or Cheers or Three Men and a Baby and not Magnum. I guess I love the X Files because they didn't get into an intense relationship and when they did they did not go all out with it and now these juvenile writers cannot do this any longer. It is boring and dull. Sorry about the rant.
@@sbaker8787Exactly! Lots of shows put people together after a "slow-burn" relationship and it just gets so cringy to watch when there's no chemistry between them. I'd prefer Magnum and Higgins to keep on bickering and not have any drama get in the way of the action in their cases. The times when Higgins dreams about Magnum just made me 🤦♀️ lol. It would be a better world if TV shows didn't focus on romance as much these days.
@@Dr.TV3 absolutely true I loves Stargate SG1 there was an element between Sam and Jack but it was not the main focus at all, in fact if you blinked you missed it. It worked as there was action and adventure and you did not get bogged down in a silly fashion with unnecessary characters and storylines that essentially mean nothing. The more characters the writers add the less they use the more skilled actors and the more shows they become. I noted in another episode where they wanted to find out who car jacked Kasamotto's child and wife that they there was no Rick working with them for example even though he would be able to get the information easily, they might have asked him but it was off screen, they forget their own characters backstories. The show needs to be less woke and maybe a bit darker and it would be way more fun. It frustrates me as it will dilute the show more and is laughable. They could have Suzy stay where ever she was till the last season and in the las couple she could come back, they could hook up and get hitched and knocked up blah, blah, blah! I mean I know a lot of men and none would be this okay with getting knocked up this quickly and neither would their friends. It is like the writers are saying, they are hitched in real life so it is ah oaky. Completely bonkers.
@@sbaker8787 Haven't watched that one (apparently its last episode date was before I was born) but it seems interesting to check out. I feel like Magnum PI's getting worse- its storylines, relationships, writing... and it'd be nice if the episodes were continuous. Is Stargate SG1 your favourite show? I'll try to watch a few episodes when I can, perhaps this show can change my mind about Sci-fi shows.

Well they are married in real life, but we just haven't seen that much of Suzy and Rick to know that much about their relationship on the show.
zach knighton is the best actor on this show by far
that is so sweet😭😭
