    I was in a Costco near Atlanta last year and they had a couple of these on the ceiling, no cage or anything, and looked to be about 20-30 feet across. Moving slow and silent but pushing massive amounts of air. It was really something to see in real life!

    I have had two of the lights shown in this video in my garage for about 5 years now and they work wonderfully - very bright, easily entirely light up a two car garage, very cleanly operating motion sensor and auto shut off. Mounting hardware is excellent - really cannot recommend them enough. Zero reliability issues - basically - they work exactly as advertised.

    .....I'm getting hooked on Jay's videos! Even this fan video was informative, yet entertaining. ....but that's the genius of "denim clad" Jay....he instinctively has made learning entertaining!....not as easy as it appears...and he's more informative, yet entertaining than any teacher who has a mortgage bill and car note to pay at the end of the month.

    Got 14 of the huge ceiling fans at work. I think it was almost 1 million dollars after they were all installed and wired up. Cost is crazy but they work GREAT!

  • @nccrawford
    @nccrawford 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've got what I believe is their biggest commercial ceiling fan in two different locations, and they are absolutely worth every penny. The installation was quite pricey, but once you see you "control unit," your jaw will hit the floor. This is the most absurdly overbuilt stuff you will find, while still being fun. It's a huge conversation starter, and I even did the gofundme or whichever they did last year for a portable light. It looks to be incredible, and they used an old air cooled 911 in the video, so I had to buy two!!!

  • @415s30
    @415s30 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I worked at the Hawaii Convention Center years ago and they had a huge one on the lobby. I remember seeing it installed and I was like, it's called what? But it's smart, you never forget it.

      Seth Daughters Do you know how much an HVAC system designed to run a business cost to run? When you're talking tens of thousands of BTUs it is very expensive, it's nothing like your little air conditioner at home I assure you.

    • @SethDaughters
      @SethDaughters 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      manrightchea my shop is four bays. I assure you it would be more effective than a 7k fan for less money

    • @manrightchea
      @manrightchea 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Seth Daughters Yeah it's all relative to the volume of air you are trying to cool but yeah for a smaller shop I can definitely see it getting away with something a lot cheaper than one of these fans, at least on initial purchase. Maybe about eight to ten thousand BTU unit. Fans like these tend to be good for warehouses that are too large to cool effectively without a lot of expense, I would've appreciated one of these back in the day at FedEx processing.

    Jay has many Fans, Being a mechanic for 30 years with no AC these would have been a dream. Something people don't know is if you sweet a lot you get wrinkled fingers like being in a pool and you can't hold bolts or nuts. Not to mention you get cut very easy! After dropping them 10 times you will slam your tools and get really pissed off. Why did that repair take so long? Well Mame you were in the AC I was in 110 degrees trying to make a living! It really makes me want to go Sam Kinison on their big asses! At least he is in Cal while I'm stuck in Virginia with 100% humidity and 110 degrees. Think of it like this, Your front door is 50 feet from your car, and you have stained your shirt, pants and other before even getting into your hot car. My gauge says 160+ on summer days with the windows down. We eat meat at that temperature! Can ya see why I might be a bit upset not to have these fans, I have a Galaxy fan from Dollar General for $10 and get charged for the power it uses! Welcome to the south people!

    Glad to see some love for the "local guys". I see BAFs in many Kentucky facilities, all ceiling mounts. I swear some are so big you could pop one on a helicopter and fly off.
